the Tale part 4: A Decision of Revenge
The two girls gaped at Angela. "Daddy is...dead?"
Yami shook her head. "No way." she told her. "It's not possible...Papa would never let himself die, he just wouldn't!"
Angela shook her head. "I'm afraid it's true..."
Yami laughed bitterly. "Angela, this isn't funny." she told her. "I know you like sick jokes, but this is just going too far."
Hikari looked at Yami and sighed. "I just don't believe it..."
Angela placed a hand on their shoulders. "I'm sorry." she said. "I know its difficult for you to believe what's happened...I hardly believe it myself. But it's happened, and now the kingdom is left without a leader."
Hikari looked at her, fighting back the tears. "What about us?" she asked.
"Yeah." Yami said. "We're the heirs to the throne. We'll rule the kingdom."
"I'm not sure..." Angela said. "We should find someone who could take your father's place better-"
Hikari slammed down her hand. "You WON'T find anyone like that!" she screamed. "Nobody can replace him! Daddy isn't just some old piece of furnature you can replace when it breaks!" She took off and ran down the hall. The tears finally came, but she didn't make any attempt to brush them away.
"Hikari!" Yami yelled after her, "Get back here!" When Hikari showed no signs of stopping, she ran after her. "Hikari, it's only me! Get back here!"
Ignoring Yami, Hikari shoved open the door that lead outside to a balcony and looked out, trying to calm herself down. "It...it's not fair..."
Yami stepped up besider, putting her arm around her shoulder. "Of course not." she said. "Remember what Papa said? Nothing in life is fair, and we have to realize that."
Hikari shook her head. "Where does that guy get off, taking him away from us like this?"
Yami sighed. "He's nothing but an arrogant bastard." she told her. "He thought that he'd win if he could get Papa out of the picture." A smirk came across her face. "But he didn't count on US."
Hikari gasped. "You mean...?"
Yami's grin took an evil look to it. "Aibou..." she whispered, "We're going after that king. He's gonna pay for what he's done."
"We're not!" she gasped. What was Yami saying?!
"We are." she said with a nod. "We're gonna kill him for what he's done."
Yami shook her head. "No way." she told her. "It's not possible...Papa would never let himself die, he just wouldn't!"
