JFA Bk.2 Ch.5: The Mysteries of the Myral Pack

As the trio begin to walk back Jackit begins to walk slower and slower.... Diddy Kong begins to catch on and start walking slower as well.

Jackit: *In whisper* (Now do you see why I can’t let Sara know about “this power”)
Diddy: *In a response whisper*(I see why you’re worried but…)
Jackit: (If I tell her, she’ll hate me and so will all the others! No one back home will like me… I don’t even know if my parents would…..)
Diddy: (Don’t be ridiculous! You’re family wouldn’t hate you just because you’re have that rain power!)
Jackit: (But you heard Sara, people who are Water Mentalist are evil they’ll think of me as a traitor if not worst…)
Diddy: (Jackit just because you can wield water doesn’t mean you’re evil. Do you feel any different ever since you discovered this gift? Any… eviler?)
Jackit: (……. no)
Diddy: (See, it’s not what power you have that determines if your bad or not, it’s how you use it…)
Jackit: (But that doesn’t mean that Sara and the others will think that way?)
Diddy: (Fine I won’t pressure you anymore. I do suggest you think about it though.)

???: {pssh kid… yea you with the cap…. the blue cap}
*Jackit looks around*
Diddy: What is it?
Jackit: I don’t know, I thought I heard someone call me, it wasn’t exactly a sound and wasn’t exactly visual words…. It was like a mix of those two things.
???: {Hey look over here}
*Jackit turns around*
???: {No not over there over here… where the backpack is laying on the ground!}
*Jackit looks*
Jackit: Are you talking to me?
Diddy: Jackit, I don’t hear anything, that’s just a backpack.
???: {Shh…. you’re friend can’t hear me because I’m communicating through mental waves, a form of commutation noticeable only by the mentalist who receives the wave.}
???: {I know this will seem odd but take me with you. You’ll need me for your quest!}
Jackit: Umm… OK….
*Jackit puts the backpack on his back*
Diddy: Are you sure it’s OK? You were just saying it was talking to you a few minutes ago…
Jackit: ………

???: {Alright first let me get to know you, then I’ll tell you about me!}
Jackit: ….w..
???: {Shh…. don’t say a word. Let your mind do all the talking for me}
*The backpack begins to shoot out more strange waves*
Jackit: !!!
???: {Don’t panic… I am only reading your mind like a book learning everything about your past, present, and perhaps even future. From the common facts to the childhood secrets.}
Jackit: !!!!!!
???: {OK, OK, OK, I’m done you don’t need to panic… I now see why you’re so panic to see me “mentalumincate” with you. You’re worry about your other friend about finding out about your “secret”}
Jackit:!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Diddy: What’s the matter?
???: {Don’t worry your secret is safe with me. And I know what you’re thinking, why trust a freaky backpack that is talking, yet not talking to me and can learn anything about me just by pushing out freaky waves? Let me introduce myself and things will make sense.}

???: {The backpack you are holding is known as the Myral pack. Not only does it function as a regular backpack, but it has four side pockets, one for each of the Elemental Stars. I as a the Myral Pack have been waiting for the party that would bring light to the Elemental Lighthouses.}
Jackit: But don…..
Myral pack: {No don’t talk to me! Speak to me the same way I am speaking to you, you don’t want your friend discovering that you have the ability of mental people do you? Just focus your words into thoughts and then imagine shooting those thoughts to my thoughts.}
*Jackit focuses*
Jackit: {……….. like this?}
Myral pack: {Yes that’s it you’re doing it.}
*Jackit learned how to use Mental speak…. aka mind linking through Mental powers*

Jackit: {But I think you got the wrong group of people. It’s the elders that are going to light the Lighthouses not us.}
Myral pack: {However, the elders you speak of alone will not be able enough to even reach the first Lighthouse! The ones who you have seen before in the past will try to stop them again… and will succeed… if the party I seek doesn’t follow them to inherit the mission.}
Jackit: {And you think WE, a pair of kids and a Kong are that party? I’m pretty sure this is too much for us…}
Myral pack: {No, not if you are what I think you are. However, before I can tell if you three are the ones I must see the third one and seek through her heart, like have with you two already…}
Jackit: {umm…. since when?}
Myral pack: {When I read through your mind, I made sure you two did not have evil intentions with “the power of all”}
Jackit: {umm… OK}
Myral pack: {Don’t worry I’ll explain everything to her as well when we meet her. If we’re going to keep your powers secret from her for whatever reason, I just needed to explain everything to you first, first handed}
Jackit: {So are you like some spirit of this backpack or something?}
Myral pack: {umm….yea… that will do for now.}

*After catching up with Sara*
Sara: Where have you two been?
Diddy: We just found something…
*Points to the Myral pack*
Sara: That’s strange these pockets on the side here are made out of the same material the Myral bags are… It also seems to give off some kind of…..
Diddy: Some kind of what?
Sara: Never mind lets get out of here. We’ve been adventuring for long enough, it’s time to go home.
