Pocketim: The beginning Part 1
Well, since most role-players are making stories about how they gained their powers, I'm going to make one too! But wait, I don't have any powers... oh well, I will just make it the best I can
NOTE: This is the story about my role-playing self... it is in no way related to my real life or Bwing the Thing
I remember...in 2003...i was only 7 years old....my own story…this is…
Pocketim: the Beginning
Part 1: The Journey Begins
I stood near the edge of the cliff, glaring at the two scientists in front of me. “I told you guys,” I growled, “I DON’T want to do it!”
“You have no choice!” the first scientist yelled. “We need your information!”
I looked at the two like they were idiots. “What information?! I’m a flipping 7-year-old!” A bitter laugh escaped my throat. “Like I would have anything that would be helpful to you!”
“Age does not matter…” the second scientist said, irritation present in his voice. “You know something that nobody else in this world knows; we need that information!”
“I said NO!” I yelled. “It’s my secret!” I couldn’t let THEM find out...
“Pocketim! Just do what they say!” I turned to see Maxi-Me was running toward the cliff. “It’s either that,” she continued, her voice sounding worried, “or you jump off that cliff!”
I ignored Maxi-Me's warning and glared back at the scientists. “You don’t even know what this information is!” I yelled, “If you knew what it was, then you would know why I can't let you know about it! Now get away from me!”
Instead of heeding my words, the first scientist pulled out a strange device. “What the heck is that for?” I asked.
“Oh…it’s nothing.” he said with a shrug.
“You’d better tell me what that is…” I growled, “or I’ll jump! Then you’ll never know what my secret was!”
“Trust me…” the first scientist said, taking a step forward, “this won’t hurt a bit…”
“I don’t care!” I yelled, backing toward the edge of the cliff. After taking a look over, I gulped and, glancing back at the scientists and Maxi-Me, I leaped over the edge.
“No!” I heard Maxi-Me yell, “Pocketim!”
The two started laughing. “Heh…I knew he had something…” the first scientist said. “We’ll just take it from him once he dies from the fall…”
“Who…Who are you?!” Maxi-Me demanded.
“That information…” the second scientist snarled, “is none of your concern!” Roughly, he shoved Maxi-Me off the cliff as well.
As she fell, screaming “Nooooooo!!!!” the whole time, something grabbed Maxi-Me by her ponytail and kept her from falling. “Ow!” she yelped. “What the…Pocketim?! You’re alive?”
I grinned and nodded toward the wall of the cliff. “I stuck my wrench into the wall,” I explained, “and it’s the only thing keeping us from falling to our doom at the moment…” I gripped the wrench even tighter than before.
Maxi-Me’s eyes widened. “Like that thing could really hold both of our weight!” she yelled.
“Well…” I admitted, “It can’t really….it’s more than likely to fall out very soon.”
“Oh no!” she yelled, “What do we do?!”
“Um…” I said with a nervous laugh, “I’m really not too sure…”
Her look of fear got even worse. “So you’re saying…” she whispered, her voice hoarse, “that we’re doomed to die…here and now?”
“Pretty much….” I answered finally.
Suddenly, a ball of red light appeared and began to spin around us. “What is that?” Maxi-Me yelled, straining to be heard over the wind that was created.
I looked down at her through the hair that was blown into my own eyes. “My secret…” I whispered.
My power warped me away, while Maxi-Me floated to the ground like a feather. Her words drifted across my mind as though I heard them just before drifting into a deep sleep… “Where did Pocketim go…?”
I warped to a different land…an unknown one…and landed on the ground. The fall had me knocked out.
A girl ran up to where I was. “Pocketim!” she yelled, “Are you okay?!”
I slowly opened my eyes and looked up at the strange girl. “Huh…?” I honestly had no clue who she was.
“What happened?!” she asked worriedly, checking me over to make sure no awful physical damage had been done. “Did you get the Stone of balance?”
“What stone?” I asked, looking at her strangely. Suddenly, a strange glow emerged from my body.
Apparently, this was a good thing, as the girl squealed with glee. “You MUST have it!” she squealed. “I can tell by the way you’re glowing!”
“Since when do I have a stone…?” I wondered aloud. Then I finally asked the question I’d been wondering this whole time: “And who are you?”
The girl looked at me like I should already know. “You know me!” she replied with a nervous laugh, “I’m Teresa! The protector of the Stones of Balance!”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about…” I said, looking at her, confused. “I don’t remember anything…”
Teresa’s hand flew to her mouth. “Oh no…” she whispered, “he’s forgotten everything!”
“Well,” I said with a shrug, “here’s your stone if you want it back.” I pulled a small green stone from my pocket and handed it to Teresa.
"Thank you…” Teresa said worriedly, “but now what am I going to do with you?!”
I merely shrugged and, out of curiosity, I stood up and began to look around.
