Pocketim: The beginning Part 3

Chapter 3: The Dream

I lied dazed on the ground, and then slowly started to wake up... I heard some voices, so I followed them, hoping to find out where I was... this place didn't look like the area that I was knocked out in a few minutes ago...
I kept on following the voices, and I found two people surrounding what looked like an ordinary fire... wondering what happened, I walked up closer to the fire...
I tapped one person on the shoulder, but my hand just went straight through her... plus, she didn't seem to notice that I had touched her either... I tried to talk, but I couldn't do that either... all I could do for now was sit there and watch...
There were two girls around the fire... one girl had light brown hair, and deep blue eyes, and the other girl had darker brown hair, and ice blue eyes...
"What is this...?" said the girl with darker hair, as she stared at the fire... she then walked closer to the fire, and put her hand straight into the flames!
The girl with lighter hair quickly shouted, "Oh, no! What are you doing? Stop!" as she quickly pulled the other girls' hand out of the fire...
The two girls then stared at the hand that had been in the fire... it wasn't at all burned, but instead, it was covered in... frost?
"Who are they?" I thought, "And... why didn't the fire burn her hand?"
I backed away from the girls, confused and scared
"Hmm... Shadow Princesses..."
I looked in the corner of my eye, and saw a man, who looked somewhat like a king... a smirk appeared on his face...
"Don't call us that..." said the girl with lighter hair, cringing at the comment that the king just said
"Why not?" bellowed the king... "It's what you are...and somewhere deep inside of you, you want to turn to the light...you want to turn away from your people..."
I was confused, and didn't understand what anyone was talking about, worse yet, I couldn't talk to anyone, so I had no way of finding out what was going on...
Both of the girls stepped back, and just quietly said "no..."
"We'd never betray our people!" shouted the girl with lighter hair...
"Are you sure?" said the king in a low and quiet voice, "All you have to do is step into the fire, and you'd be of the light ...just think... you'd no longer have that evil in the back of your mind..."
"You liar!" growled the girl with darker hair.
I walked in front of the king, and tried all I could to get his attention.. but now I knew it was true... there WAS no way that that the three could see me.
"Some people say that dark is evil and light is good..." said light haired girl with a bitter laugh, "they couldn't be more wrong! you're as evil as they come, you wretched king!"
I wish there was a way I could help, but sadly there is nothing I can do... if only I had those powers Tikal told me about...
The girl with darker hair started to add on to what the light haired girl said by stating "Isn't it ironic... the king of light is also the one of evil..." then she suddenly gasped and fell to the ground, holding her head.
"What's wrong?!" the light haired girl quickly cried...
The dark haired girl lied on the ground for a while, and then slowly said "I remember... my past... what I did... my destiny..."
"Don't you see now?" said the king with an evil laugh, "You're not destined to be a force of good...you're destined to be one of evil..." the king held out his hand and continued to talk... "Join me... and fulfill your destiny... all you have to do is step into the fire..."
"Don't do it...it's all a trick!" shouted the light haired girl, "These memories you're seeing are false! I'm sure of it!"
"No...they're real..." said the dark haired girl slowly...
At this point everything around me started to fade away... my vision became blurry... the last thing I remember, was the dark haired girl saying, "I... I'll do it..."
"NO! Stop!"
Then... I couldn't see a thing... I felt weak... then I collapsed in a heap...
I woke up again, but this time, I was back where Yami Pocketim knocked me out... those girls... the fire... and the king... was it all... a dream?
