Influence

What is influence?
To me, influence is a lot of things because there are a lot of things that influence my life on a day to day basis. There are good and bad influences in the world, but I think that it's willpower and forethought that definitively decide how those positive and negative influences change you and well, influence you.
What influences me?
That's really a loaded question because as stated before, there's a vast number of things that influence me.
First and foremost, my main influence comes from my friends. They know me inside and out, and my closer friends more than likely know more about myself than I do. They know what makes me tick, and they use that knowledge to cheer me up if I'm not in the best mood. Without my friends, I am no one. i love them all very dearly and can't imagine life without them; Whether it's asking for my knowledge and bizarre taste in music, or teaming up to discover the fabled Vault. I give myself more to my friends than I do to myself. Maybe I'm just too damn nice, but I always help them out even if it means a sacrifice to myself and what I'm doing.
Secondly, my main influence is in music. I'm not the kind of person that has to play different music because I'm pissed off as opposed to when I'm mellowed out while staring at my ceiling in my horribly broken office chair. Music inspires me to reminisce on times good and bad. It inspires me to think creatively. It inspires me to think outside of the box and do things that I would never normally do. If I had the patience and the skill, I'd make and produce my own music, but only downloading FL Studio and not looking at tutorials can only take you so far. Music has helped me in times where I cannot find exactly what the problem is. It can help me find the answers I need.
The genre that most influences me is ambient chillout/electronica. As to why, your guess is probably better than mine. Favorite artists for this genre are Kodomo (whom I've followed and talked to for about 7-8 years now) and Tycho. If you're interested, I'll post a video of each if i can find them. I also find it very interesting that this type of music is still under the table so much. It's been around for nearly longer than rap and hip-hop, yet it's not mainstream. It's awesome, yet frustrating at times that I have this music and there's no one else that I know of that has even heard of them.
Those are just a couple things things that really influence me and my life. I may expand on this a bit, but I don't quite know yet.

I'm likin' the second song there (and the animation
 ).It's people like you, honestly, that make the world a fun place to be in. What is there if you haven't got friends that actually understand you. Sounds like you've got things good, keep enjoying.  |

I've never thought about using music to influence my creativity. Thanks Ruone. I'll definitely be using this later on.
Personally, I think that if you don't feel "too damn nice" towards your friends, then you shouldn't really consider them friends. They're acquaintances, more so than they are your friends. |

I think the coolest things with music is when they're unknownish, but there are still enough fans with whom you can discuss the music.
But when no-one knows them, I know what you're feeling. Seems like awesome music, mainstream ftl. |
