Hooray for clarification! (Finishing up this story)

Shy Guy looks around, only to see a room that stretches on to what seems like forever, and a lot of doors.
SG: ...I'm ...home?
???: Not quite.
SG: That's it, I need answers. Where are you? Where am I?
???: To start, I'm right behind you.
The mysterious force taps Shy Guy on the shoulder.
SG: WAAAHHH! Don't do that!
???: *Giggle* That's always fun.
Shy Guy turns around to find a four foot tall girl with a purple glow and hair down to her waist.
SG: Well, who are you? I'm tired of typing question marks!
Haras: My name is Haras. I'm your inner light.
SG: Inner... light? *critical thinking* Wait, you mean like the angel over the shoulder deal?
Haras: Pretty much. And as for where we are... The best way to describe it is that we are within your own mind.
SG: My mind. I am inside my own head and my own light is a little purple girl. Merlon must have cast some sort of 'crazy people' spell on me. Either that or Lakitu put something in that mushroom...
Haras: I assure you, this is real.
SG: Prove it. While you're at it, bring me a dancing lobster and the magic warm butter fairy.
Haras: O_O Maybe you have gone crazy... But this is real, and you just have to believe me.
SG: Meh, might as well. If I'm cracked, I'm better off having someone to talk to.
Haras: See these doors?
SG: You mean the ones surrounding us?
Haras: Yeah... These lead to different dimensions. Walking through one will take you to a random one.
SG: Why are you telling me this?
Haras: Because to find yourself, you have to find others.
SG: ...! Wait...
Flashback
In order to find yourself, you must find others.
Haras: Exactly! The only way to find a home, maybe even a purpose, is to find friends.
SG: So, I have to go into these portals and find friends?
Haras: Right. But be warned. If you can't find a friend in the dimension you travel to, then you are doomed to remain in that realm forever. All alone.
SG: Wait...
Without allies, you will suffer a fate worse than death.
SG: A life alone... Worse than death...
Haras: Well, you won't make friends hanging out in your head! Find a friend and return here.
SG: How will I get back?
Haras: You'll find a way. Now get a move on!
SG: All right.
Shy Guy uses his awesome powers of deduction to find his first realm.
SG: Eenie-Meenie-Minee-That One!
And so, Shy Guy runs into a vast and dark door, hoping to find his new home.
