hey i was wondering how other people aim with their sniper. to tell you the truth i think it is better with pointer aiming, i say this because it cancels out most of the shakiness, so you can snipe a lot better. but this is just my opinion. whats yours?

I wasen't exactly sure where to turn for this question, and since nowhere in the Brawl forum seemed appropriate for it, I'm setting it in here.

If I'm still in the wrong spot, please redirect me, and I'll just repost this in the proper area.

Now, for my problem:

First off, I have a laptop of my own, FINALLY, and now I want to use it to record and post some of the Brawl match vids I've got saved on my Wii.

The problem is, I have no idea what components, cables, and programs to use, much less what the ports that any cables would plug into look like.

So, my question is; can someone help me with a bit of a step-by-step towards getting my laptop ready to share my Brawl vids?
I'd really appreciate it.=^_^=

How To Rate Teams - Guide

After reading some team ratings and the guideline to making a RMT, I found it only fitting to clue in the members of NintendoPals how to competitively rate a team. Looking through the "Rate My Team" I get the impression some of the quality of rates were pretty lackluster. Simply stating that Pokemon "x" will take out your whole team doesn't even remotely help in assisting the creator of the team.

What is the purpose of doing a rate?
The main reason for rating a team is to help them improve it. If you state that you want to switch Pokemon "x" for Pokemon "y", then explain what the positive and negative aspects of that change will entail. Bear in mind it doesn't help the cause if you solve one problem while creating another more dangerous weakness.

In addition, we don't want to be rebuilding their team. This is called the Rate My Team section, not the Build A Team For Me section. Essentially, don't go and change four Pokemon, for it completely ruins the idea for which the original maker intended.

Finding threats
The simple idea of finding Pokemon that completely tear open the team will allow you to start the rebuilding process for your rate. By identifying the threat, you are finding the primary problem area for the team. Thus, if you can find the major problems to the team, you are able to figure out how to resolve the weaknesses.

Explaining threats
If the creator of the thread failed to give a threat list or doesn't give a reason for which Pokemon the team has problems with, then you should be giving concrete evidence as to why he/she needs to fix the problem. Going about this, you should always remember that just saying, "You lose to Gyarados", is the wrong way of handling the situation. You always want to explain how the threat's presence increases the likelihood for you losing the match. A better way of saying this would be, "You seem to have a rather large Gyarados weakness. The reason I say this is because you have a Choice Band Scizor and it seems to be your only way of dealing with alot of threats. However you really have no counter for Gyarados. If it merely comes in on Bullet Punch and Dragon Dances, you've just lost the game." This would be the ideal way of explaining that the threat is indeed real and should be taken seriously.

In addition to Pokemon wreaking havoc on teams, there are also different types of teams to take into consideration, for instance - stall, heavy offense, and any major typing issues for the team's synergy.

Giving solutions
By simply stating that their team is completely weak to Gyarados does not help them in any way. Try suggesting solid advice on how to improve their team by means of different sets or even Pokemon.

Be aware that when deciding how to counter a specific threat, you state what they are losing. If you're just opening another hole, you're not helping them in any way.

Small but impartial changes are what the person is really looking for. Changes that don't change the identity of the team is the honest essence of team rating. You want to improve their team, not create them another one. Therefore, changing move-sets are advised over replacing actual team members. However, if you see a better fit for the team, please do tell them. But remember that you should mention what the positive and negative aspects of your solution produce.

Rating stall teams
When rating stall teams, remember that the overall goal is to stall. Essentially you will be trying to increase the duration of the game and to give the opponent as much headache as possible. Setting up entry hazards (Stealth Rock, Spikes and Toxic Spikes) and preventing them from going away is also one of the main points of creating a stall team. So one should always remember these key points.

Since the team will be aiming to increase the duration of the battle, you will obviously be having to counter various Pokemon. Whether that be through phazing (Roar/Whirlwind) or actually countering, it is in your best interest for there not to be any gaping holes. Any major threats should immediately be dealt with. Many of the main issues for stall teams are an abundance of mix sweepers. If possible, try to give solutions to this problem if their team has issues dealing with them.

Rating heavy offense
The formation of heavy offensive teams is definitely unique in its own manner. The team should be focused on dealing heavy damage but not having to rely on a Choice Scarf for anything that gets by. Choice items are really a no-no when building/rating offensive teams. If a Pokemon gets stuck on any specific move, the opponent thus has the opportunity to setup a sweeper. This could potentially allow the opponent to easily sweep through your team, as your primary objective is to deal heavy damage. Using Choice items really makes prediction key to offensive teams if you do take this route. The simple solution for this issue is to have none of the Pokemon be setup bait for the major threats in the metagame.

Another aspect to anaylze when rating offensive teams is synergy (How pokemon cover each others weaknesses). While the main purpose of these types of teams is to sack one Pokemon and bring in another, it is very beneficial to be able to switch in and out with resistances or immunities. This would successfully allow the user to completely take advantage of the match and keep the opponent on the defense.

Ultimately, you need to take in account that offensive teams should be aiming at a hole in the metagame and really putting all the forces into that weakness. For example, if you have a team of special sweepers, it would be advised to have a way to deal with Blissey/Snorlax. If you are able to deal with these sort of situations, odds are you can sweep the rest of the opponent's team. More often, people only put one check on certain types of Pokemon, so this again increases your likelihood of producing a sweep.

Quality over quantity
Finally, long rates are good and all, but always remember that quality is greater than quantity, as the goal is about helping the person increase productivity with his/her team. (Y)

the site bbc iplayer is a site that lets you catch up with all the programs you miss hence the slogan " make the unmissable, unmissable ", the sote origanly was compatible with the internet channel but after nintendo upgraded the flash it was no longer compatible,
so they've just released a whole new channel instead of changing the site!
i've tried the bbc iplayer channel for a few hours now and i can say that it is " brilliant ",
all the programs and their with NO LAG at all,
the picture quality isnt exactly 1080p buh still excellent, much better than before!
as far as i know this is only for people in the uk!

Feeling the Music: Spirit Tracks

It's undeniable that the Legend of Zelda series has some of the best music in gaming history. But when you look carefully at it , each Zelda title's music has been very different. Here are a few examples:
Wind Waker's music was whimsical and upbeat, where as Majora's Mask was dark and mysterious. Ocarina of Time's themes were bright, and inspiring, quite the opposite of Twilight Princess'.
Where am I getting with all of this? If we use what we know from previous Zelda titles on the upcoming Spirit Tracks, how do you feel the game is going to play out, having heard the main theme in teaser trailers and other various clip videos?

"The latest Wii blockbuster posts the third largest day one of the year behind Modern Warfare 2 and Halo 3: ODST

Preliminary VGChartz estimates are in and it looks like New Super Mario Bros Wii has become the third fastest-selling game of the year so far in the Americas with over half a million copies sold in the first day alone. The title had accumulated around 520,000 preorders as of last week and VGChartz estimates that week one sales in the Americas should come in at around one million units.

The top Wii openings in the Americas have been Super Smash Bros. Brawl which sold 1.59m units in week one, and Mario Kart Wii which sold 1.21m units in week one. New Super Mario Bros Wii is expected to start slightly below those two but should sell more in weeks 2-6 with holiday sales boosts (Super Mario Galaxy may be a better comparison as it came out at roughly the same time of year two years ago although New Super Mario Bros Wii is expected to track at least 50% higher in the coming weeks).

I was browsing Brawl Domain and I came across a topic about this. It's a downloadable program that lets you create Brawl stages on your computer.

I downloaded it myself and it works. It's a nicely created program. It's pretty much the same exact thing as the normal Stage Builder, BUT you can do the following:

Place spawn points.
Intersect objects.
New "Beta block"; a little hump piece.
More space for bigger/busier stages.
Option to add a custom image thumbnail preview of your stage.

"Following up their teaser announcement on Famitsu.com last week, Square Enix released the first official details today on Estpolis: The Lands Cursed by the Gods, a brand-new Nintendo DS installment in the role-playing series known as Lufia in America. The game's due out February 25 in Japan for 5980 yen; no US date has been announced.

The new Estpolis is being developed by Lufia creator Neverland Company, with much of the staff of Lufia II closely involved with the project. That's no accident, as it turns out: This Estpolis is an action-RPG "rebirth" of Lufia II, which originally hit the Super NES in 1996.

Starring Maxim, a young monster hunter blessed with impressive and mysterious powers, the game features him and his friends on a quest to uncover what lurks behind the Wave Device, an object that grants the user godlike powers. As in Lufia II, the game will feature dungeons that focus heavily on puzzle-solving; unlike Lufia II, the gameplay is now action-RPG in style, with you controlling Maxim directly in battle and switching between characters by tapping their portrait on the bottom screen -- useful for combo attacks."

This are great news for me and hopefully other Lufia fans, but the implementation of an action-RPG style doesn't sound pretty well. Who knows? Maybe it'll give the series that 'something' new they needed. Anyway, I've never thought Enix/Neverland would create another Lufia since Ruins of Lore was a little... dissapointing, thus it didn't sold well and the series was also slowly dieing at the time.

I'm so getting this game. :3

why do so many poeple make new game machines that arnt really as high tech as the top 3 systems wii 360 and ps3 but they almost have the same struture as those systems one day i was in the mall and i saw this thing and it looked like a wii from a distance so i went closer and all it was is a crapy game system with like 10 games built in but it sucked you know those 16 bit games or whatever whats worst is that they conrollers were like wii mote then i lauged and told these guys i cant believe you got suckered into selling this cheap device then i left 8D

well thats the only thing ive seen post a comment if youve seen a x -box clone or ps clones

plus theres that radio that looks like an ipod which was funny as well

One of the requests I had was to add a chat for the people who can't log onto skype, or even stickam. So now we have one! right at the bottom of the page you will see a white bar. There it should list any and all online friends, as well as the entire member's list. Pick a name from the list and bam! You're chatting with them. If they're on the site, you can talk to them. Also should you decide to change pages, the chat stays up! just so long as you don't leave eotw.

So if you want to talk to the eotw crew, or any of the members of the site, be sure to hang around, even after you're done downloading or reading! you never know who might log on :D

Okay--so Sega allowed a 3rd-party company to release a NEW Dreamcast game.

And there are alot of OLDER series that are getting new life on THIS Generation's consoles.

And Capcom DID release a NEW MegaMan, #9, with the look of the classic MegaMan games...

What about Nintendo releasing a NEW game for an older console??
