The How To Regrow Your Grass Guide

Are you tired of walking around your town and having it look like a desert?? Tired of wearing down your grass/snow? Well look no more, I'll show you how to re-grow most of your grass! It's a long process but I can show you how to speed up the process while having some advantages to it too!

1. How to re-grow your grass
The wear away grass feature was supposed to be a feature to show your normal paths in ACCF. Grass will grow little by little when a "path" hasn�t been walked on overtime. To re-grow your grass you must make sure to NOT walk on the area you are trying to grow grass back.

2. Speeding up the process
To speed up the process you have to plant stuff like trees and flowers. Obviously you can�t walk on trees so the game automatically knows that underneath the tree is NOT a path. Once a tree is fully grown, if you chop it down and dig up the stump you can see that some little itty bits of grass have grown back. I like to call this Bit Grass.

3. Spot By Spot
Make sure when re-growing grass you only focus on certain spots. If not then you WILL re-grow your grass but you will just be walking all over Bit Grass that will just eventually wear out. To make sure you don�t walk on your spots put patterns around them so you know to be careful. You can also make walkways to go around the Bit Grass too. This prevents other grass from wearing away.

4. How to MASSIVELY re-grow your grass
Like said earlier, trees will help re-grow your grass but flowers are a ton better. If you've noticed, grass will grow under flowers a TON. They will grow in giant spots that will eventually connect.

5. Advantages
Flowers and Trees are a key thing to having a perfect town. If you don't panic and just stay calm then you can soon get a perfect town with a TON of grass. No more deserts for you! Lucky! Remember to water your flowers!!!!

6. Time Traveling (Use at your own risk)
Time traveling is just an option. If you want you can time travel to re-grow your grass a LOT sooner. You can also use this as an advantage for the stock market and/or getting a silver/golden axe but I do NOT recommend time traveling to re-grow your grass because you may have an "Incident"

I did it for about 100 years, but it didnt grow back. You have to travel one day at a time, and start everyday.

This was a HUGE sacrifice that I thank Freakinpanda for. As in time traveling you need to go day by day. This can be VERY time consuming too.

7. The Key Ideas
Basically you just have to do the following
- Plant trees and flowers on dirt to re-grow grass faster
- Don't walk on Bit Grass
- Remember To water Flowers
- Only Focus on a few Spots
- Time travel is only an option and not recommended

Hello. Somehow my town's date got set to the year 2003. Shaking my head I have no idea what happened. Any hoo. I changed the date back to 2009 and now all my flowers are gone, an animal moved out and I have weeds everwhere. Also the worst case of bedhead. I had to leave for work. Please tell me this doesn't affect my museum??? I'm really worried how bad the game got messed up. Any thoughts or suggestons? Anyway to reverse what is done..?

...I know there are certain amounts of money that need to be payed for certain rewards...but I have a question. After you pay for the first reward (200.000 for a bridge), you're supposed to pay 400.000 for a fountain, correct? Now, do you have to pay ANOTHER 400.000 for a fountain, or do you have to pay another 200.000 to make the TOTAL number of Bells donated equal 400.000? It's all very confusing. :S

Paintings

Ok so i've tried several times to get paintings in my museum. The only place I know to get them is from Redd in the city. Thats how it was in every other Animal Crossing. So I have a few questions...

1) How do get real paintings?

2) Is there another way to get paintings? (Like buy from villagers?)

3) Did anybody here recently get a painting they already have in the museum that they could sell to me at a price of there choice?

Perfect Town Guide

Hey all! I hope this guide will help you with trying to get a perfect town. If you already have a perfect town, well take a look anyway! After all you may learn something interesting!

--------------~Your Town's Environment~--------------
Now Maybe you do know, maybe you don't know, but every town has a town hall. In there you can find Pelly/Phyllis. She can tell you what your town is doing. Well actually she reads you villager comments about your town. She is rather vague so you can't expect to figure out what you need based on her comments directly, but she is the number one source to your town's overall 'perfectness'....yes it is a word >.<

~Trees~
You know those things sitting around your town with all the bugs and fruit hanging off them?? Those are trees. Now here's a quick rundown on the importance of these green giants. They are essential to your town's 'perfectness' and you will need a whole bunch of them. The max amount of trees you can have in your town is 400, no more than that. You would be surprised how much that actually is. The only problem is trying to plant all of those. Hopefully you know this already, but a tree can only be planted when ALL of the spaces around it are diggable! Don't try to plant them anywhere where you can't dig! (an exception to this is having a pattern laying on the ground. Trees CAN grow next to those.) Other reasons trees won't grow could be because

A) You are trying to plant a pine tree in the low part of town (Under the first set of cliffs)

B) You are trying to plant a coconut tree somewhere other than along the beach. (They can only grow along the beach, just above the sand line.)

If you are talking to Pelly/Phyllis and they specifically mention trees then you either don't have enough, or you aren't spacing them correctly (more on this later)

NOTE: If you chop down a tree and plant another in the exact same position it WILL grow 100% of the time

~Weeds~
You time travelers out there know all about these little beasties. Yes weeds, the word makes some of you shiver. Hours of picking weeds have made you hard though! You are going to have to do some more. 3 to 4 weeds appear in your town every day (including clovers, clovers are also considered weeds) but if you want a perfect town then you can't have a single one of them. Try to pick 3 daily (except for you time travelers who have to pick like 50 ^_^)

~Flowers~
flowers, flowers, flowers. Keep em' coming, the more the merrier. You are really going to need a ton so plant them all the time (and buy a watering can). you want to have them all spread out as well, try to plant some in every acre (explained later) rather than have them in mass clumps. it really isn't all that appealing anyway. If Phyllis/Pelly tell you there isn't enough 'green' that means you need more flowers.

~Garbage~
Anything that isn't a fruit or flower should be disposed of immediately. Nothing but the aforementioned should even be on the ground, including sea shells! (seashells on the beach are fine, but don't pick them up and drop them somewhere else.)

--------------~Acres~--------------
I don't want anybody telling me that there aren't any acres in city folk, BECAUSE THERE ARE! Just because the screen scrolls doesn't mean they just disappear! In fact acres are what really counts when you are attempting a perfect town.

An acre is a 16x16 square piece of land. (256 square spaces)

This gives you 25 acres in your town. (5 acres across, 5 acres down)

Acres aren't visible in AC:CF or AC:WW for that matter. They are invisible boundaries in which everything from rocks to houses are located. In fact, nothing but rivers and cliffs obstruct an acre. everything else is found within.

NOTE: The squares themselves aren't the boundaries but the lines in between them. This means trees can be planted on the square boundary marks and still grow within the acre.

Now how are we supposed to figure out where these acres are? Simple! Patterns! It's actually a quick fix if you think about it. All you do is make a pattern that can be easily seen on the ground (and be told apart from one another. So make one that has a small black line on the edges of the square.)

1) You go to the very top left corner of your town and drop it on the ground. That is one square piece of land.

2) Now take a step right along the wall and place another one. Keep doing that until you have a line of 16 squares along your wall.

3) Now turn down (south) so you are facing away from the wall and then do what you did before but now moving down. You are trying to make a box (you already put down one square of this 'wall' so just do another 15.)

4) Once you've counted 16 down, turn left and continue, until you've close a
16x16 box!

You just made your first acre! Only 24 to go!

NOTE: Also keep in mind, each individual acre will need a boundary. DO NOT use the boundary of one acre as part of a second acre's boundary!

Now that you have all of your acres set up it's time to actually get that town honed to perfection. To get the maximum amount of trees you need to have 16 per acre. However there is a catch. only 6 trees can grow in each quarter of an acre. What's that? I'll explain.

You are essentially just splitting the acre into fourths. USE A DIFFERENT PATTERN THAN YOU DID FOR THE ACRES. It can get very confusing if you don't. Now if you want the maximum 400 trees, then every quarter (as I will call it) needs to have 4 trees planted inside. (4*4=16 | 16*25=400) If you don't want to bother with laying down patters again, then you don't have to. It's pretty easy just to eyeball it, but if you want to be absolutely sure then go ahead and lay down your guide patterns.

To get your perfect town you have to plant your 16 trees per acre (4 per quarter) and a whole bunch of flowers as well. To plant the flowers I recommend putting one in each acre until you have enough. 6-10 flowers per acre is a good goal.

Tip: If you want to make some bells (who wouldn't) then replant every tree in your town with a foreign fruit tree. That way if you have all 400 trees and you pick every fruit in town to sell, you end up with 600,000 bells every picking day. Picking the fruit takes a long time though.

As you probably already know, if you go and check out your AC:CF town, today, you'll find alot more than pitfalls, fossils and gyriods buried!

Zipper T. Bunny is in town and, if you find the special eggs he's hidden all over town, you might just get yourself a special surprise!

The eggs are hidden all over the place and look the same as a gyroid/pitfall/etc. spot. Digging them up, however, yields you an egg!

Cracking them open will give you either a piece of candy (red, blue, green or yellow) or a bunny foil, which is your prize ticket to a piece of the Egg Series.

Just take the bunny foil to Zipper T. Bunny and he'll hand over a piece of furniture, wallpaper or carpet!
