ZOMG!!!! What just happened!?

I was just racing regional in MKWii when all of a sudden in a race three people lit up star power at the very beggining! I was like "Hacks!". Then as the race went on there was someone targeting me with star power that wouldn't go away and kept hitting me with red shells and knocking me all over the track. After about 10-15 seconds of that my game froze and I couldn't do anything any more! Right before it froze they were right in front of me where I could see their name. It was USA=Sh-t.

Is this just extremely random or is this common? If so what's the cause of it?:chair:

MKW Shortcuts - (Hard and normal ones)

Alright the game has changed and there are more shortcut you may not know of
and ofcourse there are the normal ones i will post those too for those who are still new at the game

Easier to do cuts

Yes the retard fails
but it shows them

Hard/Expert shortcuts

obviously the grumble glitch and gorge glitch are banned from any tourney we do

the other shortcuts are fine

key shortcuts that can be rly helpful and arent hard to do with practice

lap 1 he does the dock jump without shroom

lap 2 he does the double shortcut which trust me helps a lot

he does 2 shortcuts in lap 1
the wall ride can take some practice but if you go right above the sand you shouldnt miss it

and as for the the sc above the sand and into the bridge
that also can be done using a golden which is easier with a golden

if people find more recent shortcuts that i have missed plz post them

In my opinion they are. Everyone seems to know how to avoid them that they r just so useless....They r only good when the players in front of you lose there items.

The highest amount of times I got hit by an item was around 15 times. And the highest amount of times I hit an opponent with an item was around 7 times.

I was wondering who likes what... I think the best are light weights and bikes... Light weights can aclerat faster then the others and thats nice for the guy who gets hit with the bleu shells. and bikes are just great for that nice strait... what do you guys think?

i'm honestly getting sick of blue shells online. the last two races i played i got a blue shell on the final lap at the very end and everyone passes me. i lost 600 somthing VR in two lousy races from coming in last and when i get first my VR goes up like 30. anyone else out there getting really ticked off?? :mad:

with all the MKW tournaments you join here on NP theres always a time and date to each tournament and with NP being so worldwide that provides a problem with timezones eastern pacific central Etc. so if you join a Mkw tourny and they tell you 7:00pm eastern time and your in central time and dont know what time that is

simply go to google type in the search engine and type '"What Time Is It? '" click search then you should click the blue link that says what you typed before "what time is it?" from there you will see all the exact times in each time zone from pacific to alaska timezones and dont worry if the time isnt moving (it supposed to do that) just click refresh and the time will change

I have been racing for some time now. And believe it or not, but I notice a few things. I might be a little slow but maybe not.
Now you probably all know that those Goombas when they die they leave a mushroom or on the Maple Treeway in the leaves.
I wanted to know if anyone else does this.

On Koopa Cape just before that green part the goomba runs around there. I sometimes use a greenshell to hit it and use the shroom he leaves to cut over the gras. does this make any sense?

I did. As of right now im only in the regional top 10 for that old DS Twilight house Tourny but I used to be in regional top 10 for Moonview Highway (think I was like 3rd or 4th), and I think I used to be in the regional top 10 for SNES Ghost Valley.

Golden Wii Wheel

Use the wii wheel extensively in all the modes, when you go online a golden wii wheel will be next to your name.

Have a star by your nickname

Playing extraordinarily well in Grand Prix races can produce a Star Ranking up to 3 at the end results instead of the standard "C, B or A."

Collecting these stars in all Grand Prix's adds a Star Icon next to your name in WiFi Races and on the Results Screen for your opponents to see.

(Note: Say, if you get a Three star rating in every Grand Prix except one which you got a One star rating in. You would get a One starred nickname until you manage to upgrade the rank.)

Double starred nickname - Get a two star rating in every Grand Prix

One starred nickname - Get a one star rating in every Grand Prix

Triple starred nickname - Get a three star rating in every Grand Prix.

Karts and Bikes versions of 50cc and 100cc

You can unlock Karts and Bikes versions of 50cc and 100cc(like 150cc, but slower) by completing all the cups in that CC.

To activate these versions, press the + button on the Speed Select screen.

100cc(Kart and Bikes) - Place 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in all 100cc cups

50cc(Karts and Bikes) - Place 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in all 50cc cups

Mirror mode

Reach 1st place in all cups at 150cc class.

Glitches

More than one person can be the same character.

First, make P1 choose the character you both want to be. Then unselect the character and move off of it. Move P2 over, and select the character. Go back one screen, then go into the character select again. You should both be on the same character. Both of you select the character. Do whatever you want from there on.

Note: In the character select screen and options, whenever one of you does an animation, both of you will. Also, if P2 chooses a different kind of vehicle than P1, P1 will look strange. Don't worry, this won't actually happen in the game.

I haven't tested this with P3 or P4 yet, but in theory, it should work.

Secrets

Boost when recovering from a fall

When you fall into something, such as water or falling from rainbow road, when you land, if you hit 2 at the moment you hit the ground, you get a temporary boost.

Change Mii Racer weight class

Go into the Mii Channel and change your Mii drivers weight, which will have an in game impact causing you to change weight class and have different cars.

POW Block Immunity

When you see the POW block on your screen and its about to hit you, just do the function you would normally use for a trick to create a shockwave for youself to become immune to the spin out the POW block creates (Control panel on GCN controller, Shaking Wii wheel, etc.). This can be done on both bikes and carts. Even though you don't loose speed or spin out, you still will loose the items you were carrying.

Quick Start

When the countdown starts wait till the 2 starts to disappear and then press and hold the 2 button. So the 2 must still be visible but disappearing.
This will give you a boost at the start of the race.

That is all I find out so far. I hope you will feel better with all this faqs.

There's only one Battle Clan standing in MKW. I would start one, but that would have to wait, on my part. I mean, Battle isn't all it's cracked up to be, but c'mon! Shouldn't the Battle Mode receive just as much recognition as VS Races receive? It can get just as crazy as VS, especially on [personal favorite] Cookie Land.

I won't go into details of it, as I do not understand the math

Hey, it looks like my whole HBC Ticket theory was wrong. Nintendo doesn't main use it to detect hacking, but they are aware of its existance. Don't worry, I admit to the misassumptions I made, and I apologize to those who followed it.

Anyway, Nintendo banns hackers from, well, seeing if you hack or not. They only check WWs for signs of hacking, if they find hackers, they will ban the hacker's MAC ID, IP and Wii FC (along with all the game-specific FCs stored on that Wii FC.)

MAC ID - (Can not be changed)

This MAC ID is a few numbers and letters stored on your system. The MAC ID is kinda like the fingerprint for Wiis. Each Wii has an individual and unique MAC ID, and it can never be changed, doesn't matter if you format it, it never changes.

IP Address - (Can/Can't be changed, depending on the situation)

No need to explain this one, I assume everyone knows what it is, lol. People who use LAN adapters will most likely have a fixed IP address, one that never changes. Others may have fixed or dynamic IP addresses, dynamic mean the IP changes if you reset your Internet connection settings.

Wii FC - (Can be changed)

Everyone knows what this is. The Wii FC is that 16-digit number on your Wii, used to send Miis, letters and such. The Wii FC is used in all your Wii game save files, and it directly relates to the 12-digit FCs for specific WFC games such as MKWii and SSBB. The Wii FC can be changed by formatting. Upon formatting, you will get a new Wii FC.

So, what's the deal now?

IF YOU GET BANNED FOR HACKING, Nintendo bans all three of the above - MAC ID, IP address and Wii FC. The only way to get unbanned is if you get a new IP address and new Wii FC, because MAC ID don't change, and Nintendo doesn't care about MAC ID much. Calling Nintendo is your best bet though, but I heard that they only unban you ONCE, no second chances.

Analysis -

Situation A: Banned MAC + Banned IP + Banned FC = Blocked (20102)
This happens when Nintendo finds you hacking, and when they ban you for hacking this will be your status.
Examples: All newly banned hackers.

Situation B: Banned MAC + Banned IP + New FC = Blocked (20102)
This is when banned hackers with fixed IP formats their system. They get a new Wii FC, BUT their IP didn't change, and MAC ID can't be changed. The result? STILL BANNED!

Situation C: Banned MAC + New IP + New FC = Pass (able to go on WFC)
This is when banned hackers with dynamic IP formats their system. They get a new IP and a new Wii FC. They are now unbanned and free to go on WFC, but they are under high risk of getting banned again if they hack.

Situation D: Banned MAC + Unbanned IP + Unbanned FC = Pass (able to go on WFC)
This is when banned hackers call up Nintendo and request to get un-banned. After getting a lecture about the negatives of hacking online, they are un-banned and free to join WFC again. BUT their MAC ID are still listed as previously banned. When they are caught and banned for the second time, their ban will not be lifted.

Situation E: New MAC + New IP + New FC = Pass (able to go on WFC)
This is when you buy a new Wii! WOOOT!
Examples: Don't need any.
