I'm copying this from my flash drive and I have a REALLY slow computer so
this is going to look stupid at first, I would prefer that nobody posts on it
until it's done.

Anyway, I noticed there isn't anything else like this on NP
and everybody likes my stages so much that I thought:
Why not just make a guide that includes all the tricks that I use to make stages
on NP so that everyone can make better stages of their own,
learn new things about custom stages,
and ultimately gain a really cool friend (me).

SSBB Stage Creator for the PC

I was browsing Brawl Domain and I came across a topic about this. It's a downloadable program that lets you create Brawl stages on your computer.

I downloaded it myself and it works. It's a nicely created program. It's pretty much the same exact thing as the normal Stage Builder, BUT you can do the following:

Place spawn points.
Intersect objects.
New "Beta block"; a little hump piece.
More space for bigger/busier stages.
Option to add a custom image thumbnail preview of your stage.

Welcome to the 8th Official Custom Stage Competition. In this competition, you will be testing your creativity and imagination as you try to compose the best appealing stage.

Rules:
- Your stage must be of your own creation
- Post only one stage
- Watermark/mark your stage with some text or something to prove it is yours.
- Videos and images allowed.
- Only post 1 video or 1 image showing your custom stage.
- Stick to the theme.
- No hacks.

Times:
- Entry deadline will be on Friday, September 18th at exactly midnight EST.
- After that, voting will begin shortly a few days after, on September 21st - September 28th(a week)

How to enter:
- Post your custom stage in this thread.
- Stages can be posted either as a video or as a single image.
- Provide a short sentence about your stage. A couple of words would be fine, just as much as a couple of paragraphs.

The theme:
- Mario-Themed
- Hint: Think of items to associate with Mario..Mushrooms, etc.

During this point of time, please just post your entry. The voting will take place later on, once all the entries are submitted.

Disqualifications:
- If you are found to be entering a stage that is not your own.

Possibility of a new Custom Stage Competition?

In order to revive this section, I was thinking we could have a Custom Stage Competition once again..the last one was held by Pac_cap in November 2008, and that's been nearly 10 months since the most previous one. Before the next one can be made, we need to think about what kind of stage layout that will be the theme for this specific competition. Will it be open, closed, round, etc? I've noticed that an increased amount of users have been getting Homebrew as of lately, but I want this competition to be fair. If you're possibly interested to join, please provide ideas that may ultimately benefit the formation of this as a whole.

There is a stage editor for the computer. You can create hacked stages(sadly no size modifiers yet). It's still new, so give it some time.

I just saw the wierdest thing...... Follow these steps to see it
1 Make a small stage that has 6 spikes lined up along the top
2 Go below the row below the spikes and put 6 boxes
3 put 1 box on each end of the gap to close the gaps
It should ba an arena with 4 spaces inside

After you do that go to special brawl(giant mode), and select samus as your char and any char for the cpu (put it on level 1 so you can easily grab it, level 9 will just maul you lol)
When the brawl starts grab with samus and her up throw, if you pause it and look carefully it shows that one of the characters arms is misplaced
I was against a bowser and his left are was positioned out of his shell above his head.

Do you have any cool glitches/tricks (ive never seen this before anywhere on youtube or any where else) that not many people know about?

Yesturday i was brawling with like 4 of my friends online. So i picked toon link as my character and then picked final destination. When it said ready to fight it went to this stage that had no platforms at all. We kep falling down and down! No platforms i am not joking! What is this and have any of you ever experianced this?

HOW TO INSTALL THESE****
Simply put them inside your SD card. However, they may not have the proper placement of files and folders and you may need to set it up yourself in order for your wii to read them. All you need todo is make the folders like this:
Private/Wii/app/RSBE/ST/*insert stage here*
and then place Private onto your SD card.
Name them exactly like above. For an example, you have the ST folder and the stage inside the ST folder, but you need the rest. First make a folder named RSBE exactly and then put the ST folder with the stage inside of it inside RSBE. Then make a folder named app exactly and place RSBE inside it, then make a folder named wii exactly, place app inside that.... then Private, place app inside private. Done ^_^

Hall of Shame (HACKED)

This stage is simple, and small. I personally enjoy it but it is not my favorite I made. It has a hallway and then ramps on the end. above is falling blocks that leads to spike pit. Even higher above all that is floating ramps moving all around. Enjoy. Link is in spoiler tags. Post if it doesn't work or have opinions of it.

Temple WARFARE (HACKED)

I made this place Special for the Super Samus code... I eventually ended up having instead of simply having walls to hide behind, but made a base for each side, to a point where it is as if its one. It looks much like a temple to me thus the name. Its actually a good stage in my opinion. It has ladders and many tunnels. This is the stage in the first battle in video, For the second stage, go to the topic Here:http://www.wiipals.net/Forum/f77/links-woodtemple-hacked-stage-38889.html to download it and give props to the creator of that stage. HAXED Factory (HACKED)

This stage is much like a factory, thus the name... However its original purpose was for a good battleground for super Samus codes. It ended up being something else completely (like always it seems). This is a good stage. One thing that is not the best thing is its Chain possibilities in the middle of the hall. Other then that, I like it. I hope you enjoy. The link to it is in spoilers tag. KAJE MACH (HACKED)

This stage is mainly all fun, it has allot of falling blocks that can end up making you stuck inside until you get into the bottom. It is a giant square of falling blocks with the inside having allot of moving platforms. Not much else to say. Have fun. Link is in spoiler tags.

Temple of Panic (HACKED)

This stage is another temple themed stage. This stage Is more open feel though. It has a large area of go through floors with springs below them, making you jump instantly. Above is a roof that is also go through... The side has a zig zag go through walls also. So you will not get high damage here easily in a real battle. It is great fun in my opinion. Enjoy. Hell Freezed OVER (Hacked)

This stage, has Ice cubes floating everywhere, But it dose not stop there. These Ice blocks haves spikes on them and there is a few that dose not. This stage is really fun when you have high damage ratio on. I like it. I hope you enjoy it. Link is in spoiler tags.

Temples of Craige (Hacked)

This stage has two rooms above with a go through floor in middle with a large area great for fighting. Enjoy. Link in spoiler tags.

Die Easy (Hacked)

Its a tournament like stage inspired by the final destination, battlefield, and animal crossing level. This stage is a few of mine that would actually be tournament legal O_O. Enjoy and link is in description.

Warfu's Revenge (non Hacked)

This stage was the first stage I made to Celebrate getting a new wii. Since I did not have homebrew at the time, I could not do much. So its the first and hopefully 1st hacked stage ever to be released by me. It is shaped like a big W (I did not do this on purpose, it just happened) and because of that, I named it after me xD It has a few moving platforms and etc. It is not a bad little stage.

Tower Of Revenge (hacked)

This was the first Hacked Stage I made Since I got my new wii for xmas. Its sorta of a fun little stage and I enjoy it. I had this Idea for quite a while and finally got to do it. Enjoy. Link in Spoiler tags like usual.

Simple and Dirty (hacked)

This stage is pretty simple but I enjoyed it. If you love hacked stages then you will enjoy this one. It has 6 Rather Large falling blocks that leads to a little surprise with moving platforms around it.

Station of Hell (Hacked)

This stage is pretty fun. You will enjoy it I'm sure. Sorta good layout for battles of a lifetime in my opinion. It has a room and has a go through floor near the bottom with spikes under. Also has quite a few moving platforms.

Pit Of Gas (Hacked)

This was originally a normal square stage. It was boring so I upgraded it and now its a square stage with lots of platforms moving inside. There is a hole below and near the top.

LOLOLOL IM BORED (hacked)

This was made when I was very bored. I am just trying to stuff the stages at this point to unlock all the parts. Its still a good stage in my opinion. It has a decent layout.

Bridge to Crap (hackeD)

This is a bridge, it looks like a bridge, walks like a bridge, and talks like a bridge. So its a bridge. There is not much more to say, It is not a bad stage either though, however I say that about all my stages. It has some platfroms too in the middle to make it less boring.

Mummies Tavern (hacked)

It was suppose to be called Cavern to make Mummies Cavern but i did a typo and was much to lazy to fix it. It looks like a Cavern with all the pillars stacked on blocks. Its fun and I like it :p

Night Landers (hacked)

With that evening feel. It has platforms and stuff. yah... I forgot what it looks like.

The Fun Box (HackeD)
*Insert useful stuff*

Stage in a square shape with an open area at the top and bottom. Inside is allot of platforms moving. This is yet another hacked stage by me of course.

Madness (Hacked)
*Insert crap here*

This Stage Is simple but fun. The stage has moving belts heading as high speed towards the middle. In the middle is spikes. This is a great level to play high damage ratio hacks or stamina of the likes.

Pinball Stage Beta (Hacked)
*Insert something here*

This was done by request. It looks like a pinball machine kinda. I do not care for it, I do not know how it turns out. Use at your own risk.

Its shaped like an arrow. A Very large arrow... wtf else should i say? lol

Temple of Dark Madness

Temple, moving platfroms bottom of it. Ladders leads into small area on bottom, small dip on top that has falling blocks that leads to spikes. enjoy.

Takako's Hacked Stages

Most of these stages are hacked. That means I used the homebrew ocarina to allow me to overlap other objects on the screen.

Factory

Notice there ae many moving belts leaving to that one place. There are many flaling blocks there and 2 small rooms that can be escapable by some characters. The bottom right room can be escaped just simply activating the falling blocks.

Empty Falls

This was one of my first hacked stages. It made it difficult because players couldn't get stuck in the faling blocks. If done and they get stuck it can lead to death.

Falls

Similar to Empty Falls, Falls is just the same except it adds moving belts on the bottom if you get stuck. It prevents a lot of deaths but almost impossible to get back up.

25m

Hey why not? It looks cool. I couldn't get the exact amount of layers so I tried my best at it. It even has the remixed music to it.

Dizzy

Many spinning wheel platforms. It's prety easy to fight on this stage. You have to be careful of presing down because it can make you move down of the layers and die.

Hyrule Castle

Hey we all miss the old levels. I decided to remake the Hyrule Castle stage from Super smash Bros. (N64). It's probably not exact because I did this out of memeory.

Ninja Warrior

I can't take credit for all of this because I copied it off a video I saw. again it's hacked but just remember that only 3 people can play on this stage at a time and only with limited items because if you use to much, the game will crash.

Sport Stages

Like Sports? Like Brawl? Like Brorts? How about Spawl? Basketball? Baseball? Soccer? I'm Epicly failing at making sport Brawl Courses...

So far I've Made Soccer...

Rules: Shoot Soccerballs into the goals
Items needed: Soccerball
Notes: The lines inside the goal represent if it's in the goal
What phails about it: Everything...I mean...ummm...With constant Soccerballs being made, a goal could be made anytime without any work, I'd say this is the worst one I've made...

Basketball...

Rules: Shoot the Balls up the platforms until they make it to the top as you try and get it in the goal
Items needed: Soccerball
Notes: You can fall off in this one, making it more exiting...Not really, but those little tunnels facing vertically are the goals
What phails about it: It's kinda hard to "Shoot" when the balls are always rolling, and some other things I did I don't really like but if I remove them, more problems appear...

Baseball...

Rules: Your looking at the screen, seeing the above picture...Your face...says "WTF!?!?" all over it...The positions...Pitcher(Sonic in pic.), Batter(DK in pic.), and...The ball(Jigglypuff, no matter what). See where Sonic and Jigglypuff are? That's my version of the pitching mound, Son...er... The pitcher has to hit Jigglypuff over to the falling platform, as Jiggly fall, DK...I mean...The batter has to swing at the ball, and hit it...99% of the time, it will go under the conveyor belts, that's ok, but annoying, if it's past the 2 little lines for marking the Homeruns, you get one point. If you miss altogether, you have 2 more chances, if Jigglypuff bounces 2 more times, Strikeout and switch...To switch, go up the elevators if your the batter, pretend to be the ball if your the Pitcher. The ball is always the ball, just a controller on the floor crying about it's position.
Items needed: Home run Bat, Gooey bomb(For getting the Ball out of that squished space)
Info: LOOK ABOVE YOU RETARD XD.
What phails about it: The amount of rules...

Also, tip for all the games, use paper to keep score...

Kind of self-explanatory. The ice are suppose to be the shapes that fall down from the sky. The four ice boxes on the side is the "Next" shape. The big 1 is suppose to be for which level of difficulty (Ha, yeah. I could of added more numbers but I ran out of space). And thats pretty much it.

Note: I looked around the net and stumbled across another Tetris stage. Do note that I did not steal that idea. I stole the idea from my gameboy game.^_^ The fact that we use the same ice boxes and the same background is just a coincidence.

This is basically the final frontier in the Golden Sun saga. The bottom area represents where you first appear when you reach the top. The small platforms are the floating platforms were you jump from to get to the side and then to the beacon. The beacon area is the top middle of the stage and the object I put there is suppose to symbolize the beacon where you throw the Mars Star in. I think the ladder is where you walk up to the beacon in the game....

I do have hacked stages. Some of those stages have respawning glitches, controlled spawning points, and there is one stage where you cannot fight the computer for they will turn into beta objects and die in three seconds. For those stages I will inform you so you can enjoy them and not panic when something odd happens. All my stages are safe to play in I checked many times over.

This is Step Matter: Disrupted i'm not sure if it can be considered a obstacle course but i dunno it's that closest thing i could think of an ostacle course but hope this fit's the theme well. there's a huge ramp way that leads to to the top then a ladder to the bottom in between that ramp and ladder there is platforms you can jump on.

Trouble Training

Trouble Training is a stage that redefines obstacle course. The very top is where most brawlers start off at. However they usually stray down to the middle portion where most of the Brawl takes place. However it's slippery so you constantally have to be on your toes. If you specialize in metor smashes the bottom portion is the place to be. Bascally it's easier to show the fun via. video then to use words.:cool:

Ok, here's my entry:

It's called: Obstacle course (feel the creativity).

So, basically it does what it says on the label.

You've got you simple enough 'back and forth' track layout, which makes it easy to figure out the 'right' way of moving. The layers vary in height as well as actual obstacles to provide the widest range of 'trickiness' (;)).

As with any good course/track, my stage has a nice and simple way to reach the start again once finished (though may make the player prone to attacks from players in the course).

It really does provide lots of different angles of fun and opportunity.

Shade wants to enter one of his first obstacle courses. Excuse the quality.

Carnival 2

A basic obstacle course, one of the first I ever made.

You start off at the bottom-left corner of the stage, Spikes and blocks are your first obstacle. With an extremely low ceiling, it will be difficult to make it through the tiny area without getting hurt. Once you make it through there, you meet Spring Hill. Jump up onto several springs to the very top. Then, enter the small cavern to the left. You will be left in a large open area where many close racers choose to slow the other players down at. It's large, so it's quite roomy and you can avoid attacks easily.

A small opening at the top of the room allows you to enter Tornado Tunnel. Run through the topsy-turvy area and make it to the goal. Repeat three times to win the race.

One vote is all you get.

Hello, and welcome to the Custom Stage Wifi Hub! Here, you can find a match to play a custom stage online!

Random voice: But wait! I thought you couldn't play custom stages online!

Ordinarily, you can't! But with the help of a wii utility called Ocarina, you CAN!

Here's how the system works:

People with Ocarina are designated as hosts. You need at least one host to play a stage online. Each person participating needs to have a copy of the stage that will be played on, saved to their wii system memory. (No SD cards). All you need to do is play on the custom stage before you go online. The fastest way to do this is to just have a 1-stock fight and kill yourself. Failure to do this will result in Bad Things™. After that, go online, and join the host's match. When it comes to stage selection, choose "Random". The way Ocarina works, it loads the last stage you've played whenever you choose Random. However, since the rest of you don't use Ocarina, this only works if the host's choice is the chosen stage. As such, it may take a few attempts to play on the custom stage.

My 1st, and great, hacked custom stage!

Here's a great custom stage I've decided to post here, the stage was made by me (Rocketomy, A.K.A. Hinu). The stage's name is "Links WoodTemple" and it is a stage inspired by the original Hyrule temple with a jungle theme and a few other extras added to it.

The stage is 100% customized and it works with every copy of the game. Below I've included some pictures to show off this great stage!

Keep in mind that the stage is hacked but your Wii doesn't need to be hacked to read it, just download it and copy it to your SD card as you would with any normal stage and load it in brawl.

EDIT: I changed the weird crossed platform and added another cross so now it looks like an "X". Here is the picture of how it actually looks:

I know it looks weird but this is a secret in the stage so you'll have to download it to find out what it does...

As for the stage, it looks awesome and it is very detailed! It is a great vivid stage for everybody to play in and I hope that everybody enjoys this stage as much as I enjoyed making it for you guys!
