Thought simplistic, learning to budget your turbo boost when to pop willies is a surprisingly rewarding experience. That's even more so when playing online. Anyone else have this or plan to get it? If so, let's arrange some online games.

I was just wondering if there were any good WiiWWare/Virtual Console games that I could play with my youngest sister when we had nothing else to do?

Currently we have Defend Your Castle, (which she calls the "people flinging game"XD), however, it's been a long time since I got a WiiWare game and was wondering if there was any games that I could buy that we both be able to enjoy.

PS: Is Pokemon Ranch entertaining for kids if you have a Pokemon game to supply the Pokemon?

Edit:
Wow this thread really got revived. Currently I don't really need this question answered anymore since I already got Pokemon Ranch awhile ago. But it is an interesting topic so I guess it can stay up......

I'm just saying, it'd be cool to play as a new character, and see a new fictional exploration world, other than a planet, or castle, and brand new enemies, bosses, and new awesome sounding music.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Hits WiiWare

Nintendo delivers three downloadable Pokemon titles in Japan.

Last month, we reported that Nintendo would be bringing the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series to WiiWare. The information was a bit shaky, so we covered the story in question marks and asked that you treat it as a rumor.

Well, you can now ignore the question marks! Pokemon Mystery Dungeon is indeed coming to WiiWare through a multi-SKU release that hits Japan in less than a month! Nintendo opened an official Japanese site today, offering first screens and video footage for the game (the video button is under Pichu).

On the DS, the Mystery Dungeon series put you in direct control of a group of Pokemon and had you explore randomly generated dungeons, facing off against rival Pokemon and using items to advance. The games also featured some unique Wi-Fi connectivity which allowed players to save their friends from peril.

The Wii entries in the series appear to mimic their DS counterparts closely, but with one major exception. Everything is now in full 3D. This includes the dungeons and all the Pokemon creatures. Nintendo promises something that resembles a picture book.

The Wii versions also add a number of gameplay changes. You can now have your Pokemon climb atop one-another to form a tower. In this form, the Pokemon attack in groups, all in a single move. Screenshots show two towers facing off against one-another in what looks like an intense fight.

WiiConnect24 is also being put to use here. Even when your Wii is turned off, you'll get missions sent out to you. You may even get some special pieces of information describing the whereabouts of certain Pokemon.

In Japan, the WiiWare version of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon will arrive as three separate releases: Flame, Storm, and Light. These offer different starting points and initial Pokemon choices. Flame starts you in Pokemon Village and gives you access to flame-based Pokemon. Storm starts you in Pokemon Beach, and offers up an initial selection of water Pokemon. Light starts you in Pokemon Garden and gives you access to electric Pokemon.

All three will hit Japan on August 4, priced at 1,200 WiiPoints each.

Nintendo hasn't announced a release outside of Japan, but given the popularity of Pokemon just about everywhere, you can probably expect your choice of downloads at some point.
Neko Entertainment has announced today the upcoming release...

Neko Entertainment has announced today the upcoming release of Heracles Chariot Racing on WiiWare, a Racing game that will drive players new and old to distraction. Featuring ten circuits in five mythological fantasy settings, players take control of one of eight gods or legendary creatures from Heracles to Poseidon as they race to become Champion Charioteer. Heracles Chariot Racing will be released on July 24th in Europe on WiiWare.

“We are excited to announce the upcoming release of Heracles Chariot Racing for WiiWare”, said Laurent Lichnewsky, Managing Director of Neko Entertainment, “With its blisterning fast racing action, mytholigical tracks and enemies, split screen multiplayer modes, Heracles Chariot Racing is destined to become a WiiWare classic for players, both young and old”.

In Heracles Chariot Racing our hero Heracles has to undertake a challenge that none before him have survived – a chariot racing tournament. To win a series of sacred Electronic Theatre Imagetrophies and be crowned Champion Charioteer our hero has to race across mythological kingdoms against some of the most feared monsters in existence. The objectives are simple, survive the battles and race against some of the most fearsome and inventive foes in Greek mythology.

Heracles Chariot Racing is an exciting journey into a mystical and colourful word of danger spiced with excitement, awesome weapons laced with humour. Featuring Championship, Single-Player, Time Trial, Battle and intense two-to-four player split screen multi-player modes, players are the master of their own destinies, but with the divine actions of Gods they will require both skill and an element of luck to be crowned champions. Featuring three racing cups across ten courses based on mythological fantasy settings including Nemean Lion, Realm of Hades, The Augean Stables, Stymphalian Lake and Mount Olympus, players select a character and race it out using fantasy weaponry including Zeus lightning rods, tridents, fireballs and more against their opponents. Electronic Theatre will keep you updated with future releases from Neko Entertainment.

The Wii has a great fighting game on retail disc (Super Smash Bros. Brawl) but downloadable brawlers are scarce for WiiWare. Actually, they're nonexistent. Toribash hopes to change that when it brings its customizable fighter to Nintendo's service. The game is already available as a free download for PC and Mac and bears the tagline "Violence Perfected." What sets the game apart from other fighting games is that players design their own moves. It sports a minimal art style but we should have a lot of freedom to create personalized attacks. Your character has 20 joints that can be played with.

Once you've implemented your own fighting style you can play against other Toribashers online. The game will support ranking, matchmaking, and chat messages.

Wii owners will be getting an exclusive feature in their version of Toribash: hair! The models are bald but can be customized with different hair styles and colors.

Toribash does not have a release window, yet, but we'll have more info on this intriguing WiiWare game soon.

source

This sounds fun and a nice new twist onto the fighting genre. With "custom characters" being a big thing when Soul Calibur III (and later with IV) was released, creating your movesets must be a godsend for many fighting game enthusiasts.

The latest version of the unusual puzzler should be confirmed during Nintendo's press conference; the platform holder promising a number of big announcements.
In other Nintendo related chit-chat, we hear that a new lime green DS bundle is on the way to North America, a bundle hitting stores adding in Personal Trainer: Cooking as part of a Mother's Day pack.
The second game in this wonderfully retro rhythm-shooter series is due to arrive on WiiWare this summer, and we've got hands-on impressions.

Released this past March, Bit.Trip Beat was a game that seemed tailor-made for the WiiWare service. Its intentionally lo-fi sound and stylized pixel graphics didn't stretch the Wii's hardware, and the unique, rhythm-shooter style of gameplay made clever (if subtle) use of the system's motion controls. But there's no denying that Bit.Trip Beat was hard--really, really hard. Thankfully, the brief duration and suitably low price point made sure that its vindictive difficulty level didn't wear out its welcome. Now Bit.Trip Core is right around the corner, another charming but thoroughly difficult shooter in this newfound series that will test the limits of your love for old-school gameplay.

This is comming to both PSN and Wiiware, so i'm not sure what version this footage is from, but i can't imagine it making much difference.
The artstyle looks beautiful and the music sounds brilliant. Srsly, this could be an awesome title.

Once again, Wiiware shows just what these small developers can do when they don't have corporate, mainstream, multi million dollar publishers breathing down their necks.

More screenshots of this game can be found by clicking on Gonintendo.com in the first paragraph.

In my opinion, it seems that the smaller developers and indie developers are able to take more advantage of Wii from a technical standpoint then some big-name developers. Awesome job you all!

Crash Bandicoots?

Yea, I started thinking this kind of thing:
What about if at Nintendo they would take these Crash Bandicoots from PlayStation 1:
Crash Bandicoot 1...

Yea, I started thinking this kind of thing:
What about if at Nintendo they would take these Crash Bandicoots from PlayStation 1:
Crash Bandicoot 1
Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back
Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped

And then, they would add some more Wiiware exclusive levels and stuff and put it on Wiiware to be purchased as Wiiware Games! I know this would be more Virtual Console or something like that, but hay, I think it's great idea. I would buy them, even though I have all the games on PS1, the extra levels and stuff would be great.

Or will PS3 take this idea before Wii? I guess it could....

And why didn't I mention Crash Bash? BECAUSE THE GAME SUCKS! And I didn't mention Crash Team Racing cuz Wii already has Mario Kart Wii.

Wouldn't this kind of thing shine some hope to all old-school players who worship old Crash Bandicoots and get disgussed by newest Crash Games (C of the Titans and C: Mind over mutant :()?

Yep it's here, WiiWare's first FPS! (First Person Shooter) With it also being wifi enabled your going to want some friends to play with right? This is the thread where you post your Onslaught Friend Codes, so we don't get multiple threads saying "add me" or what not. Please only post your Fc once per thread page, Do not spam the thread with 5 posts in a row saying "Add me!!", and do not badger other members with countless Pm's or comments about their intent or status of adding you/getting online. Remember, Nintendo Worlds Wifi Forum is NOT RESPONSIBLE for actions carried out online in the game, or hacking/ opponents conduct. Last and most importantly.... Have Fun! Here's to a new and fun Wifi WiiWare game to play with others online.;)

my code is in my profile/drop box and in the list. I will add people to my list as people enter here. heck, maybe we can even get a SR tournament?

EDIT: whoops sorry, didn't see the one before this. I think if people make up a FC list for a game they need to update it on the front page. it's a whole lot easier. this thread can be locked.
