hey i was wondering how other people aim with their sniper. to tell you the truth i think it is better with pointer aiming, i say this because it cancels out most of the shakiness, so you can snipe a lot better. but this is just my opinion. whats yours?

Multiplayer Leaderboard Strategy for MW:R

If your the kind of person that has a TERRIBLE k:d or w:l ratio, or you just want to level up quicker. Then this guide will hopefully help you out. but it does require some skill. Anyways here is what i have learned about associating game modes with the Leaderboard

If you want to level up fast:

1) Headquarters- Headquarters is probably the best way to level up because of the immense amt. of exp points you get per game.

2)Team Deathmatch/HCTDM- These two very classic modes are the second best way to do it. plus they help you with almost everything, k:d, w:l, etc.

3)FFA- FFa is good because of all the enemies you can kill but you have to be skilled to not mess up your k:d.

If you want a better W:L Ratio:

1) Sabotage- Sabotage is like the perfect way to get your K:D p because of how quick and easy most of the games are.But make sure you have a good team.

Modes I don't recommend for a better W:L Ratio:

For this I would have to say don't do a lot of TDM and don't do FFA unless your really good.

TDM- i say this because if your not like a total beast at the game then your team can mess you up no matter how good you are.

FFA- I would hardly ever do this for W:L because of how many other players in the mode that you go against.

If you want a better K:D Ratio:
A good k:d is not very hard to get unless you majorly screw up in the beginning.

1)FFA- If your a great player with a bad k:d then this is good because you can kill off a lot of people.

2)TDM- TDM is the best option if your are not good at holding your own against a lot of other people.

3) Headquarters/Sabotage- These two modes are good because you can hide around the headquarters/ targets and just kill of the enemy with a silenced weapon. Just move to different areas frequently.

That is all and don't forget about the rest of the modes because the ones you never play can be really fun, like team tactical or cage match. Some you may like and some you may hate, It's all about personal preference.

Speed test and lag shooting!

So I am yet to get MWR and it is almost inevitable that I will, but would like to hear everyone's opinions on the amount of lag and "lag shooting" in game.

Bad lag shooting would mean you would have to lead your target by a considerable distance in order to score a hit.

My questions are:

1. If you have both wii CoD games would you consider the amount of lag less in MWR than WaW?

2. Describe the amount of lag you have. (none - severe)

3. Test your connection using Speedtest.net - The Global Broadband Speed Test and post your download, upload, and ping values

It will be interesting to compare different connection speeds and compare lag from people on NP.

Anyway here's what I have:

I have moderate lag (in my opinion). It annoyed me so much I quit WaW.

Download: 4.93 Mb/s
Upload: 3.37 Mb/s
Ping: 40 ms

Let's see what everyone else gets.

Double Edit:

Apparently Port forwarding your wii will fix the ping and essentially fix lag shooting for CoD. I need to look into this.

It’s when you pick up some extra ammo by having two guns that hold the same clip type.

Why is it important?
Some guns hardly have any ammo to begging with so its got to know what guns to pick up for that extra edge in case you don’t have the Extra Ammo Perk (forgot the name)

annnywayyy today my connection was laggy but I decided to play headquarters with Fred anyway and found my self getting...well I call it butt raped by my own teammembers. It happens when both you and some other person are moving really close to eachother. It's lame and screws your vision up

Now the point of this thread is to start like this

"If CoD MW:R (or WaW) had Wii Speak options I would tell the guy next to me to stop grinding on me"

Well I decided to check how I was doing (kill wise) with the world and I just notice that Hetoa2 or what ever and Kevinpwns have already hacked the leaderboards. Soon we will come across the hackers just like in TCon.

Post what you were first thinking while playing Modern warfare Reflex Edition.

(i had played MW on xbox for a long time so my views might be different then your opinions)

Well starting with SM I really do think it has some great visual and explosive effects. I am a bit saddened that NOTHING from the story line changed. The first level (training) is pretty much the same as the other versions with Wii controls. At first i didn't like the controls so I changed them around a bit to suit my needs. When it comes to MP I did feel that everything was better then the WaW setting. The maps are much bigger, more gamemodes, better weapon balance (no MP40!!! but darn the MP5 >.>). Once I got the game I played a bit of online and for me it was really laggy even after I selected the region option in the lobby.

All in all I think "The Big T" did good and they should at least get a pat on the back from IW for making the game excellent on the wii :awesome:

Well, despite Modern Warfare: Reflex coming without WiiSpeak, will veterans of World at War come over to MW:R succesfully and "accepting" MW:R as an "upgrade" (it may not be called an upgrade to many), or do you guys see it as a waste of money?

There aren't any real big changes between the two, except [MW:R] possibly having more weapons, multiplayer maps, and stuff to unlock. Opinions?

my 2 best moments would be when me, dre2cool, taco, and shaq beet the old MM in the first clan war.

and my second is when i went 40+kills and under 9 deaths for 10 games in a row with some of my elite buddies:D

Hey all you cod'ers. Since the conduit came out less people have been playing cod for their own reasons I wanted to ask you all since the conduit came out how active have you been on cod compared to how active you were. Obviously the people that still play cod will coment here and people mainly playing the conduit won't even take a glance at this thread but try and get them to come here and share Why they left the conduit for cod.

So I'll go first. I have actually got less active than i used to be after the conduit came out. I did play conduit for a while, never got good at it but i still had fun playing it. Mainly i stopped playing cod for along while because everyone that plays the cod for wii either glitch or hack. The glitches never get patched which is probably the worst thing for the cod on the wii. This is the main reason why i stopped. Although i do play conduit i intend on going back to my 2nd prestige lvl 19 account i still have.

So mainly heres a recap:
1) Have you gotten less active on cod after the conduit came out?
2)Why?

If you Cod'ers could get some conduit players to coment here that'd be great so that we can see there side of this topic.

Hello Hello. I thought I might make a thread about sniping. Ill try and regurgitate all that I can think of onto this here thread. I plan on talking about how sniping is effective, and the different forms.
(if these more technical things are not helping out, i will add a "sniping for noobs" section at the bottom)

I. Overview:

A sniper or marksman is usually a marksman that shoots targets from concealed positions or distances exceeding the capabilities of regular personnel. Snipers typically have specialized training and distinct high-precision rifles. In addition to marksmanship, military snipers are also trained in camouflage, field craft, infiltration, reconnaissance and observation techniques. (according to Wikipedia )

I really enjoy sniping, its basically all I do. I enjoy knowing that the enemy has little chance at combating against me (if im far enough away). And I just enjoy watching, really, a battle go on; and I have the one shot that could make a difference.

Sniping generally involves a Sniper scope attached to the top of usually a bolt action rifle, or rifle. But not always, you can run around no-scoped if you want to.

II. WHAT DO I USE?!:

I personally like all bolt actions in this game, some of you say, “how could you like the Arisaka? Its soooo weak!”. Not at all actually. Please follow this link to understand:

that link takes you to a bolt action comparison vid on YouTube, I would like to consider it my personal Sniping bible. The main “commandment” you get out of it is: All Bolt Actions are created equal. So don’t believe those made up “stats” in game, they are only for show.

Springfield:

Scoped: My personal favorite. I'm not sure why I like it so much, maybe because of the flow of the scope coming up. I also like its smooth RoF (Rate of Fire), idk. I simply like it and recommend it.

Unscoped: I personally do not use this gun unscoped much, but if your wondering, the iron sights look like the iron sights on the BAR. (as you can see in the vid above). they take some getting used to, but this gun unscoped is fantastic for pot shots.

Arisaka:

Scoped: Just like the Springfield, the arisaka has a nice RoF. And your character seems to reload a bit faster, compared to the Springfield. I have also found this Bolt Action to be a bit quieter.

Unscoped: I really like the iron sights that this gun has. Its more of a focused sight and reminds me of a mini Type 99 iron sight.

Mosin-Nagant:

Scoped: This is a nice Bolt Action has a nice way of not lifting as much after firing a shot.

Unscoped: Probably my favorite unscoped Bolt Action. The iron sights are a nice arc, which makes it easy to get headshots.

Kar98:

Scoped: This has a nice RoF, and is great for quick scoping, simply because of how the scope comes up.

Unscoped: similar to the Mosin, it has a bit of a higher arc, great gun to use if your running around with it unscoped.

PTRS:

Scoped: Although this wasn’t even a Sniper rifle during WWII, and is (imo) Treyarch’s “answer” to CoD 4’s 50 cal, I still love it. The fact that you can shoot without having to slide back a bolt, makes taking out multiple enemies very easy.

Unscoped: ... If only...

M1 Garand:

Scoped: fantastic. Although not included in the vid above, it is a great sniper. When your looking through the scope there is hardly any movement, making quick scoping a breeze.

III. Damages:

Now moving on to damages. I will be referring to the same vid above:

(please note that in core you have 100 health, and in Hardcore you have 30)

Alright its all about where you hit your target. As you can see In that link the higher you go up on a person, the higher the damage multiplier:

Any hits in the legs or arms is a 1.0 damage multiplier. (so nothing)

Any hits in the guts or abdomen is a 1.1 damage multiplier.

Any hits in the chest or collar bone OR head is a 1.5 damage multiplier.

(this only pertains to Bolt Actions, the M1 is a little different, but holds the same principle)

• So what does this mean? It means if you hit them in the center body WITH stopping power on, it’s a 1 shot kill. And if you hit them in the chest or above WITHOUT stopping power on, it’s a 1 shot kill.

Simply put, aim for the chest.

Even if they have Juggernaut on, and you hit them in the chest or above, it’s a 1 shot kill. (reffering to the YouTube vid starting at 3:30 and ending at 4:55.)

Favourite Campaign Mission?

Well, I was recently playing through the campaign again on Hardened and I thought it was pretty fun and quite a challenge. I thought I'd make a thread to see what your guy's favourite campaign mission is? Personally, I like Hard Landing and Vendetta. Hard Landing is a great level because you have to take control of the airbase with your trusty flamethrower whereas Vendetta is a kick-ass sniper level set in the ruined streets of Stalingrad.

So what's your favourite?

:awesome:Do you ever try this insane tactic?? i do when get PO'd so i suicide bomb. all you need is fireworks and maybe flak jacket (with this you have a 50/50 of survivng) and extreme conditing to sprint fastly and very long to bomb em....it works on a map where you can pop out of a place realy quickly and bomb someone. try it, it works and when you die you drop a live gernade and put on nades x2 if u use flak jacket because you mite survive!!! happy bombing!!!! jingle bombs jingle bombs!!!

wow. I was just on cliff side and this guy on my team was glitching like mad. He was using rifle grenades and every time he fired he fired like 6 at the same time and he had unlimited rg's. Does anyone know how to do this?
