ATTENTION DUELISTS!

Hey wait, I'm not that guy on Yugioh Abridged... ._.

Anyway, attention all! I have recently come up with a few ideas that I thought would get the Role Playing Forum up and running again! I thought a little friendly competition could be found among the games, the review team, gfx, etc. So, why can't there be one for RolePlayers?! Here are a few contest ideas I came up with:

IDEA 1: Create a Character Contest

Come up with an ORIGINAL character that could be used for role-plays. It could be a brand new one or the character you usually portray. Be sure to include information such as abilities, appearance, etc.
Rules:

• Do not copy a character from an anime, movie, game, etc.
• Do not copy another person's character.
  (I haven't put much thought into rules, so if anyone's got anything else, tell me ._.)

IDEA 2: Character Backstory Contest

Create a short summary, or a short story, that portrays the backstory of your character. Stories should be between 200-500 words. Be sure not to include unnecessary information or leave out anything important.
Same rules apply.

IDEA 3: RolePlaying Contest

Get together with some friends and do what we do best - role-play! Entries should either be blogs (linked, of course) or copied/pasted into a post. If the role-play is done in the chatroom, it should not last longer than 1 hour, unless there is a conflict that delays the process. The role-play also should not take place longer than one day in the characters' point of view. There must be a plot, conflict, and solution. It can be adventurous or humorous, or a mixture of the two.

I would very much like your opinions on these ideas, as well as your own ideas to improve them. Each contest would have one thread made for entries, and then a poll thread made for voting. Keep in mind that these contests are going to be sponsored by the Lair of the RolePlayers - meaning NintendoPals members who are NOT a part of the LotRP can also enter.

I'll participate in all three, except I kinda suck, you guys always think I'm God Modding, and I have no one to roleplay with on contest #3.

EDIT: How about we made it like.. For #3, you had to RP with somebody elses custom-created character or something for a twist? Or even a character you created during #1 or #2? :0

I'll work on cleaning 'em up and making them look all official-like n_n Hopefully I'll have at least contest number 1's thread up by tomorrow!

Also, Xero, that idea WOULD work, except what if someone wants to enter contest 3 but not 1 or 2? That wouldn't be fair. Duh >.>

On another note, I am going to be removing GreenThunder from our list of leaders since he decided to leave our beloved NintendoPals. If he decides to return, I shall immediately readd him to the list.
