Batman: Arkham Asylum Impressions

So anyone who has played it, yay or nay?

I for one am only halfway through the game and I have to say, the hype was right on the money.
Usually I avoid Batman games because they always end up being very clunky and glitchy. This game though has pleased me in every way possible so far.
The combat system is spectacular, being able to counter attack and then switch targets is great but the animations of Batman flowing freely through the air is beautiful and satisfying in the end.

Also the game gets very slow at times but only for a few minutes or so, it isn't all around Tactical Espionage like say Metal Gear Solid like some people say it is.
I also loved the fact that they got the same cast from the Animated Series to do the voices, don't know if it's the same for Harley but sure as hell sounds like her.
I think I can probably finish it tonight seeing as I'm almost finished, what do you guys think?

Oh and I love how it's a thinking game as well, really makes you feel like Batman.
Especially the detective mode and the scanning mode that's very reminiscent of Metroid Prime.
I decided to place this in the PS3 part of the forum because of the additional Play As The Joker add-on which I have yet to try, it's free too.
Also because I only have a PS3.

I beat the game the day after it came out and I am doing some of the changlles and I am also trying to do the 40 combo too and perfect combo and I have to use all of batman's moves and the game is badass its the best comic book game ever

i just played the demo and liked it but it was to hard

saw it at Gamestop, and was amazed....
and I'm glad the voice of Joker is Mark Hamill--the ONLY Joker for me..
and Batman is the same voice from the 90's cartoon...

and the fighting was great

I have it, I've finished and I have to say yay! One of the best comic book games if not one of the best games ever! Great graphics, excellent voice acting by Mark Hamill as Joker and Kevin Convoy as Batman and the story is interesting too. I've yet to complete all the challenges and the game was a little short but I recommend you should get it ;-)
