Agreed, this deserves sticky. Consider it done. I will have to get Ubuntu then, I just need to back up all my crap before I do so.

As a friendly reminder about Emulation. The emulation of games and software from ROM's is typically an illegal act. The downloading of such ROM files is a copyright infringement. We like to keep away from such things. So please keep to legal uses of other software such as 3rd party software, and the like.

Thanks.

One that I have heard rumored about the internet is a PS2 Emulator that will give the back the backwards compatibility to the PS3.

I have never tried.

My PS3 is 80, so I have no need.

Plus, Ubuntu does not work with the 40, So unless you have a 20, there should be no problem.

Just a little reminder, the new 80 gigs have been changed and do not have the backwards compatibility feature. The launch 80 GB PS3s do have the feature, though. I dunno why Sony decided to jack that up...
Neither do the 160 GB ones, actually..so it's a problem for some people.
