When I play games on my ps3 they look great. Demos even look great, just to let you know the games do look better than what you seen in those videos and yeah that video was from 2006 and the ps3 came so far......

LOL Excuse me.. i dont go about wasting good money on poor quality and workmanship.

I've experienced more problems with the PS3 than ANY other console..360 or wii respectable... im sure everyone has heard of the RROD.. xbox's main probs.., i've had a couple of experiances with the Wii..

But when it comes to faults.. SINCE its release.. ps3 wins hands down... console not reading games.. console freezes WHILST updating.. then refuses to start/load games.. console has its own version of the RROD.. Light flashes green once. Then Orange once.. Beeps twice.. Then Flashes Red 3 times.. and its.. DEAD.

PS3 is an overpriced Doorstop..

And what exactly IS your.. "experience" ?

The Cell CPU is something fony, sorry 'sony' have been trying to get into all of the gaystations from the very beginning but they couldn't! Why? because it was never something that belonged to them, they NEVER MADE it. It is only in the gaystation 3 because IBM and Toshiba finally gave in this time. This has always been sonys way of doing things because they can't make anything themselves so they see what's going on in the world and buy into whatever they can so they can put their name on it too.

I'll admit it's one hellova processor but that's all sony can do is get the most cutting edge technology they can pay for and they still can't do anything with it! The cell is intended for group collaboration super computers not a bloody games console, talk about overkill to the absolute max! What a way to drive up the cost of a system from the very beginning with no way of coming back from it!

Let's compare that to the Wii's PowerPC 'Broadway' CPU, a single core chip that does exactly what it was intended to do. It works completely in tandom with the memory and the bus speeds of it's motherboard therefore making the Wii a well more thought out system. It's less powerful yes but who the hell wants more power than what's required for the task... oh yeah power hungry idiots that have no idea what to do with it... hmm Adolf Hitler and Suddam Hussain spring to mind on that one.

The cell may be able to do multiple things at once, that's because it's not one processor it's 8 of them on 1 CPU. The way they word this would fool anyone who's baffled by the simplest of things and that means anyone with any of sonys systems! Take a standard Intel based PC or even a Mac and surf the net while listening to music, oh look your computer is doing more than one thing at the same time. It's called multi-tasking and it's been around for over 30 years! You simply don't need 8 processors to do more than one thing at the same time lol. The rest of the components in the gs3 have to rely on multi-tasking too because there's only one of each component not 8 like there are processors. This has to be the most ridiculous selling point of the system.

Furthermore a CPU DOES NOT determine how good or how fast a computer or system is, this is just stupid to think that. The overall performance of a system is dependant on way more than the CPU, things like memroy timings and bus speeds play the biggest parts.

Blu-Ray discs are, as the vid said, 50GB that is absolutely correct.
The laughable part is that a standard DVD can hold upto 25GB depending on the version of DVD used. There is no standard DVD disc that is 5GB in size so the narrator obviously doesn't know diddly squat! (I don't care if he was rounding it up he's WRONG!!). And last of all HD-DVD can hold up to 51GB therefore holding more than a Blu-Ray disc.

As for graphics, it has already been proven time and time again that the 360 has superior graphics over the gaystation 3!

He's not a gamer because he doesn't support the ps3? That's hardly a good reason in your defense.

Requiem isn't the only one who's worked for video game retailers. I've worked for both Gamestop & Best Buy and at both places what was returned most frequently? PS3, equipment, and games. The only people who I really saw buying the system were snotty rich folks that had nothing better to spend their dollars on. The only good reasons I could think of for purchasing a PoS3 (Oh lawl.) is because a blu-ray dvd player runs you at 1,000 bucks, or for final fantasy. Though, I'm not willing to spend 500-600 dollars for Final Fantasy.

Well I'm sorry, I'm just not a sony fan nor am I a "fanboy". I try to respect everyones opinion to a certain degree. This is a Nintendo forum though, I know there is another console section, but in the end, it's still a Nintendo forum. Your just not going to find that many people here that share your love and compassion for the PS3. Making a thread such as this, claiming its awesome, and nintendo sucks (yes I'm refering to a couple of people) is just flat out asking for trouble. Calling each other names, and using inappropriate words does not help sell your opinoin to anyone. I'm tickled to death that a few of you love your PS3, but it's not for everybody. I personally think the Wii is a better system. This is due to the cost (especially for what it is capable of doing in said cost), the quality, entertainment, and wide variety of games. Like I stated, this is just my opinion that I was able to express without flaming or swearing. You have your system of choice and I have mine. I don't look down or disrespect people for choosing a different console, I disrespect them for how they act and how they choose their words. Enjoy!
