If you're talking about the Wiimote, can you blame Sony for doing so?
The Wiimote has caught the eyes of many, but disappointed with it's lackluster sensitivity. It needs an extra attachment just to meet our expectations, also being that the peripheral isn't even available yet. Rumors of Microsoft copying the Wiimote have existed for a long while, and they've been confirmed at E3. Nintendo isn't delivering, Microsoft saw an opening. I don't see why Sony wouldn't copy the Wiimote. Motion sensitivity seems like a trend now.

Well at least they're incorporating the motion sensitivity. That alone is satisfactory for me since the Ps3 has more potential than the Wii.

I say this is very genius and have more potential than the wiimote. It's crazy how they already have all these plans on how gaming can be in the future and it's also cool it automatically adjusts for drawing and such. I have high hopes on this lets just hope sony doesn't mess it up because this is just a prototype anything can change.

Anyways, I found a picture of what looks like the design for the wand and apparently there is an analogue stick on the remote itself, which is good, cause before they didn't really show off the analogue stick and I said it needed one. However, the design does make it look like a hassle to use. I think while Nintendo with the remote and nunchuck set up has redesigned the controller while still keeping basic functionality, Sony may have taken it a bit too far. Controllers have been two handed for a reason, and the design looks like it uses the thumb for analogue control and the index finger for trigger control. I can see the controller working now better than last week, but it still looks like for any kind of complex game that utilizes motion control, everyone is going to need two of these wands like in the demo. |

My only concern is how they are going to market this thing. There will need to be bundles of two controllers plus a camera for those who don't have one and I can only imagine what it's going to cost to get the stuff to buy this new control scheme.
