Your PS3 Retrospective

So 2010 is 4 months away and you have experienced some good and bad games this 2009.

From the many add-on content, stages, sack boy and sack girl makeovers and a fresh feeling each and every time you played Little Big Planet, to the downloadable maps, stages of Killzone 2, to the shocking electro free flow gameplay of Infamous and the much hyped Batman: Arkham Aslyum which innovated super hero games the same way The Dark Knight innovated super hero movies.

So the question is, what games were your favorite so far this year and why?
What games are you looking forward to near the end of 2009 and so forth?

I myself eel bad for doubting Batman: Arkham Asylum, granted I had my doubts because of the hype and the feeling in the back of my head that this was just going to be another horrible attempt at making a Batman game.

But wow, I sure as hell was surprised once I finished the game..
Never doubt hype until you dip your toes in the water and fall in.

Worst game for me on the Playstation 3 would have to be Street Fighter 4.
I just felt like there wasn't enough, you know after you played Marvel VS Capcom 2 you feel like Capcom could do so much more, but I digress, it was a good fighter but just didn't keep me playing, let alone playing it online.

My favorite game for 2009 would be...Resistance 2. Great game overall, but mainly because that's the only game i've played.

My favorite game will more then likely change, 09 is not over and i'll have my PS3 in October along with a few other games. I am betting on MW2 or maybe even the Modnation racers beta to be my most favorite for 09, unless GT5 releases in december...

I only had my PS3 for a few months, in those few months were a great experience, liked everything about the PS3. This time around will be even better.

There's alot of content, games ECT i'm looking forward to late 09/2010.

Omg.. an actual literate post in this section :O who knew :3

So I'll be a new ps3 owner come next week and im looking forward to the upgrade in gaming experience.

My favorite game (till others release) will easily be Fat Princess and LBP (added the MNR beta comes with it () Most anticipated game of 09 is a 2-way split between Modernwarfare 2 and Borderland.

Hopeful future games would have to include M.A.G and the fully official version of ModNation racer.

Being that I am so green with PS3, i dont have any negative input <3

I agree with SilentAngel.

Best game of the year for me it's inFamous or CoD5.
Great games, got me hooked for days/weeks/months.

I'm really looking forward to Modern Warefare 2 and MAG.
ModNation racer looks pretty epic too, so I'm going to get that

Batman: Arkham Asylum might be game of the year hopefully, I like the voice actors, great stroy line, the graphics are tight, gameplay.

Pretty sure what will end up being the best game for me this year hasn't even come out yet. MW2 The worst game I played.. probably Assassin's Creed, I know it didn't come out this year but I purchased it this year and was rather disappointed with how repetitive it is.

best of the year will likely be MW2.... but for now, I'll say LBP... simply because I think it did what Nintendo has dreamed of for years... it bridged the gap between casual and hardcore gaming. Honorable Mention goes to Infamous, just for being a hero-style game that doesn't suck... though it does feel a bit short, the story telling is amazing. and for that, it deserves something.

Worst game of the year.... I would tend to agree with SF4, I didnt play it, but I know that it was hyped for about 2 days after release... then it dropped into oblivion. However, the worst game *I* played this year would easily be Killzone 2. I love the genre, and I love the concept... but wtf... why must the controls - no matter how much I adjust them - feel like I'm controlling some kind of hulkified super mutant who has the reflexes of an 80 year old with dementia... add to that the fact that most of the levels and their objectives feel like you're walking across the friggin continent. No thank you.

Wow, I totally forgot about Resistance 2. I really really enjoyed that game, I even liked the ending that most people hated.
The game's landscape even looked beautiful at times, especially any stage that had the massive Chimeran ships slowly moving across the sky.
It also added an element of horror which I liked, each and every time something bad was about to happen the music would slide into this ominous screeching sound.

I just know it happens before this and many other parts of the game as well.

I just got Resistance: Fall of Man and Batman Arkham Asylum. Stunning games, they've kept me hooked for ages. Batman is great with the incredible voice acting, good story and solid gameplay. Resistance is a good FPS with great graphics and good gameplay.
