get an intercooler. I had the same problem that you had and got a new xbox since my previous one melted itself or imploded or whatever.

Well I know that the newer ones have the new falcon chip and they have added an extra heat sink in there too. And last that I heard you couldn't put an intercooler on an Elite.

I personally can't wait to get a 360 myself. Course I'm keeping my wii, ain't trading that baby in for nothing.
