Again, this is from live streaming of E3, so no written source yet, but this is basically the motion and voice capturing camera for the 360.
All I got to say from it is: And people thought playing with the wii remote looked silly. The games looked even more silly, physically demanding, and potential living room disasters than the Wii itself. It also confused me a bit on why the new Tony Hawk game would used a board controller when it looks like you can just use the camera...but whatever I guess. Oh yeah, it also has face recognition so it will automatically sign you on based on who it recognizes. The coolest features appear to be the social aspects. Looks like there is video phones pulled straight from the house of the future and voice and controller free control for movies and stuff. Really cool, gets rid of the TV remote, however, I like my controller and going completely controller free is great for the casual gamers but I think it is going to have some limited aspects when it comes to making some core games. I'm sure someone will think of something cool, but right now I'm just not too sure. |

I'm watching it. Microsoft is showing their ass. I have to get a 360 now. It was funny when the dude took a shot at the wii. The crowd reaction made laugh. The motion control and MGS Rising looks great. I don't use facebook or twitter but that looks great on the 360. The 360 is offering a lot. Sony and Nintendo better be big.

Looks a little glitchy at the minute, but seems to be an incredible piece of kit.
They had a long running demo about a kid called Milo who Lionhead studios had created, he intereacts perfectly with the user, with you in effect in his world. It recognizes the whole body instantly and charts every bit of movement, I have to say I'm impressed. - If it works as well as it seems.

Xander is right about a few things. 1. It does look silly. 2. Its great for casual gamers, but for the most part/most games i want my controller. I believe this has alot of potential & together with everything that was announced i am getting a 360.

Ehh...if we're talking games like [MW2, Halo, Gears ECT] i'm using my controller, but for others like [Racing, certain fighters like UFC] i could definitely get into it. I would look silly though...

It looks like Microsoft are basically using old technology to try and please the crowds. The Eyetoy could do all of this years ago and I mean the games just looked too crazy for my liking and I mean MGS Rising looked quite good but I mean come on, Microsoft are clearly running out of ideas if they're copying the Eyetoy. Here's hoping for some decent gaming news at Nintendo's conference tomorrow. I think it's kinda lame the guy needs to try and take a dig at the Wii just cause the 360 fails. Sony and Nintendo FTW.

Microsoft definitely 1up'd Nintendo's motion controls. A 200 Xbox 360 + Natal would IMO be a better casualy console then the Wii, though i do wonder how much it actually costs.
