Noob Wants a PS3 or 360?

maybe you should try out a random game in a game shop using a ps3 controller and a xbox controller

that may help you decide what you want i hate xbox controls
and if your really a halo fan then im seeing you get a xbox for just that reason

Thats another thing, the PS3 is losing some of its exclusive games to the 360, Tekken 6, Final Fantasy XIII and Metal Gear Solid: Rising are all coming to the 360 in the near future.

What do you mean you NEED a wireless adapter? Why not just buy a cheap ethernet? You can get a 10ft one for next to nothing and it's much more reliable. Wireless can completely ruin your Xbox Live connection anyway, I much prefer ethernet.

For now, yes. But with more sales on the PS3 it might not be so likely next year. Namco wanted more money from Tekken to begin with so I'm not surprised its also on the 360. Final Fantasy is in a way a taste for the 360 as Final Fantasy XIV will be only on the PS3 and MGS Rising isn't going to be like the other MGS games at all so I'm not surprised its on the 360 as well. I'm not so sure the exclusivity is being lost at all, more like being tested out in other areas before failing.

Its better then 90% of the exclusives the 360 has.

Most people don't have their modem right beside their Xbox and it is recommended by Microsoft to use it. There are other means to online but wifi is always better.

True and if you look at the rating of the games for ps3 and xbox 360. The 360 wins by a landslide. Most of the good games that ps3 has the xbox 360 also has them like street fighter IV. Plus would you want to wait months later to download the DLC for ps3 while if you have a 360 you get the DLC months earlier than ps3.

Yeah i agree with him. You dont need to get a wireless adapter. You can buy an ethernet cable which works better than the wireless adapter. You can buy a 10 dollar ethernet cable that is 100 feet long. Or you can also move your router closer to your 360.

Well if you think about it carefully if ps3 and xbox has both the same game for example Final Fantasy III you should pick one that has is more exclusive like the 360 having halo 3 and ps3 not. So lets say hypothetically you get the ps3 for lets say final fantasy 13 even though the 360 has it then when halo reach comes out exclusively for the 360. Would you regret getting the ps3 knowing that the 360 has FFIII also and miss out a great game like halo reach. In my opinion i would not. So like smashsoul said microsoft is getting games the was suppose to be sony exclusive to the 360. So since sony doesnt have FFIII, Tekken 6 ect. exclusively to themselves anymore while xbox 360 has them and more. It would be smart to get a 360 and get more bang for your buck and not having to regret buying a xbox 360 for halo reach or any other games exclusive for ps3.

Sure the Xbox has a better quality online section than the PS3 but all in all if you decide to spend a couple of days away from your Xbox 360 due to a vacation or you just cant be bothered, the money which you have spent on buying the XBL Gold membership is slowing going down the drain. With the PS3 its free, so even if you spend a month away from the console you aren't going to be affected majorly.

Xbox has some good exclusives, but then again the PS3 has had a couple and more exclusives are meant to be making their way in to the limelight in the near future, so its all here and there. Games on either console are good, and Little Big Planet is just FANTASTIC. Honestly.

The 360 comes with a mic within the set (for the Elite I think only? dont quote me) and the PS3 doesn't you have to buy your own seperately and mine has lasted me a year almost and there has been no major problems. Sure it was an extra £20.00 but wwell worth it. PS3 has built in wifi, Xbox doesn't which means if you want to play away from your router (without the need of the ethernet cable) you will need to buy the adaptor which comes seperately. You can play blu-rays on the PS3, nothing big but if you are using it as a family based console near the main TV it can come in handy for movies junkies of the family.

2 players at one time vs. 4 player, are you really going to have that many people in your house at one time, if so consider it. Also, do you want to charge your controller via the console with the wire already provided or do you want your controller to run of batteries which you have to re-new every now and again? Oh and did I mention the charger kits also costs extra.

But its your decision. Just some pointers...

Excuse me, you're going from what Microsoft is telling you to do? They're the ones selling it to you, right? Of course they're going to recommend it, cause it's expensive and will go towards their christmas party at HQ this year. That's the REAL reason they're "recommending" it to you. You can buy cheap alternatives, like an ethernet and ignore Microsoft with their stupid recommendations. Like that dude said just before me, you can buy a really long ethernet and just wire it around your house, it's not at all difficult.

Isn't it more along the lines of "360 demos release the exact same time as PS3, yet microsoft tries to make their gold members feel special by screwing over silver members." ?
You can access social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter, via the PS3's web browser.
Netflix is coming to the PS3 some time this month.. And besides that, you can stream movies from the PS3 web browser, or download them directly to your HD, for free.
PS3 has video chat as well, and the Playstation Eye has a heck of a lot better quality than the 360's cam.
Like I said before, Sony will be releasing party support in the next firmware update.. Rumored up to 12 people.

This is just a matter of opinion.
I much rather play exclusives such as Metal Gear Solid 4, Killzone2, Resistance 1&2, Uncharted 1&2, Ratchet & Clank, Little Big Planet, and many future exclusives such as Mod Nation Racers, Grand Turismo 5, MAG, God of War 3 and more.

And what's this PS3 2 player only nonsense?
Just last week I played Little Big Planet and Zombie Apocalypse with 3 of my IRL friends, in my room. :P

Oh I'm sorry. I guess you forgot that they recommend anything just to get you online so you'll pay for their great extras which to be honest aren't that great because most of the stuff should be free cause they just aren't that worth it. I guess you right though, stupid recommendation from a stupid company right? Very convincing argument.
