But anyway, I'm not going to be completely on the side of the 360 here, it does have its downsides, the party system for example does disconnect A LOT, and it can be a bit annoying if your in the middle of a game, and as other before me have said, yes it is ridiculous Microsoft is charging us £60/$100 (I'm not good with exchange rates ) just to connect to our routers wirelessly.
I do find that the PS3's integration of WiFi pretty neat too and the web browser is something that would come in handy if I didn't have access to my PC, and that some of the exclusive games on PS3 are good too, heck I would buy a PS3 just to play stuff like Ratchet and Clank and Uncharted 2 (To be honest if I get enough money I will buy one).

Thing is though, the main reason I chose 360 over PS3 is because all my friends had 360's, only one of my friends has a PS3 so its common sense in my opinion to choose the platform you know a lot of your friends have. That was the issue with my Wii, nobody I knew had one and I slowly lost interest in it.

But either way, both consoles seem to be evenly matched, they have good exclusives on both sides, and the games released on both (Modern Warfare 2 for example) make either one a worthwhile purchase.

I wasn't trying to do that to begin with. People here mistake things too easily and then start flaming wars. I have both of these things and I decided that the PS3 is better. Of course the 360 sometimes gets things ahead of the PS3 but you have to pay for it anyway. You'll be throwing in more money, A LOT more money but I don't think its worth it for wallpaper and other unnecessary things. The PS3 has it little themes where you have to pay for too and they both share about 90% of things by the end of the year.

The PS3 will have better exclusive games and I'm sure of it. People have trusted the 360 for a long time and the biggest reason was that the PS3 had a high price tag at the time, now with the price tag lower many, MANY people are giving it a chance and enjoying it. People are even trading their 360's in for a PS3 Slim. I say PS3 all the way.

Silver members get demos just as easily as gold members... They're all free and as long as they're free all you have to do is be connected to the internet to get them... I get them on my silver accounts all the time because my stupid main account is set to not let me download mature content for some reason. :/

Actually certain demos are only available to Gold members when they are first released, such as the Forza 3 demo.

As for which system. It's all about the games man. Personally I like Halo more than any game so obviously I'm going with Xbox, but Ps3 has some bitchin' titles too.

I will say one thing.. I have noticed that the PS3 guys, are having a calmer, more peaceful, and EASIER time at defending their console. You 360 fanboys are gettin' down right nasty..

If you wanna fork over a few extra bucks for online and warranty, go with the 360.

Otherwise, the PS3 isn't a bad choice either. I have both and I must say they are each good in their own way. If you're limited on money though, I'd suggest a PS3. Halo 3 isn't the most amazing game ever.

Iv read some people being ass's around here, why? i dont know, but they are.

IMO i would get an Xbox only if the XBL and a 2 year warranty was included. MS has to much of a failure rate, unlike sony, in which getting a defective console is really rare.

Aside from that, being an XBL gold member doesent grant you "exclusive" demo's, the only thing that they do is release them later for regular members.
Unlike sony, they dont need to do all that nonsense.

About the post that said facebook, netflix and all that, well, guess what 0_0 you can do all of that with a normal PC, and way better. This is really a sad excuse to call xbox better, even more since the PS browser lets you do this and netflix is arriving like in a few months, like cake said lol

And about that Halo 3 anime, its my thread, and if you cant rely on online thread like all of the ones posted around NP, click on the source. It may be just an anime series, but the fact that you can only use a Blu-ray player makes MS look bad.

Xbox was the way for me because of the Friend factor. That and game choice are the major parts. For me Game choice came down to which had CoD (oh wait, both), which had FIFA (oh wait......both) and which had Halo.

Playing online with your friends is the big thing, you dont want to be buying an online console to not play it with your mates (sure you meet people when playing things, but its your IRL mates that you want to be playing with)
