Nintendo Pals' Falcon Punch Tournament



Ever wanted to show off the power of Falcon? Do you want to prove that you are the master of the Falcon Punch? This is the tournament for you!

This is one of the tournaments hosted by The Tournament Hub. Please constantly check in case there is an emergence of a new tournament.

16 player tournament, 4 reserve players.

This step is important.

First come first serve.

50 posts minimum required for entry.
VIPs are exempt from this post count rule.


Post only to report your matches (as well as to sign up). Solve disputes before posting, perhaps talking to the moderator in charge of that tournament.

Both players should post too, one to report and the other to confirm (not required, but appreciated nonetheless).

Anyone caught lying will result in an immediate DQ from the tournament, and possible later ones.

Only members in good standing, with their SSBB friend code entered correctly into their profile may participate.

After you have entered, you should add all of the other members participating in that tournament. Thus you will be ready to play anyone, anytime that you are asked (within reason).

The tournament will begin as soon as all 16 entrants have been verified.

You have 5 days to play your match in each round (each round should last no longer then 5 days).

I have made it this long due to the fact that people are busy, what with school/work/college.

The whole tournament should take no longer than 20 days to finish, from beginning to end.

If one contestant is absent for a long period of time (over 5 days), or is DQ, a reserve will take their place.

We reserve the right to disallow anyone, for any reason that we see fit.

Please pay special attention to the rules..failure to comply or follow these rules will result in an immediate disqualification.

Captain Falcon ONLY

Items: Off
Handicap: 300%
You may only use the Falcon Punch move to K.O. your opponent. If you kill your opponent otherwise with moves such as Raptor Boost(this is especially common), then you will have to lose one life via suicide.
Available Stages: Neutrals, Counterpicks, and F-Zero stages: Aero Dive, and Big Blue(Melee)

Disqualifications:
- Not attempting to get your match finished within the allotted time, due to procrastinating/not responding to your opponent.

- Using unnecessary profanity, or having poor sportsmanship (Taunting/Bragging are fine by us, however keep it clean and make sure not to go overboard).

- Possessing multiple accounts.

- Arguing about anything with the Moderators.

- Cheating. (Still unknown as to what is possible)

Sorry to be a bitch and potentially ruin this, but couldn't you kill your opponent once, then continue to raptor boost/otherwise kill them and just take the suicide penalty? Kind of like a Captain Falcon version of Swallowcide/Bowsercide/Ganoncide? Needs to be fixed before this tourney goes underway with people being cheap. Maybe a 3 life penalty or something, although it still leaves potential for cheapness, just slightly less. I mean, and what about if it is one stock each? It'll be too late to suicide, you'll have won.

Thank you for giving your opinion, you do provide very good points. Perhaps I could raise the penalty to 2 or 3 lives?

Besides for auto-loss (which is far too extreme) it's the only way I see it working, although it still doesn't account for the "cheap kill" off of the opponent's last stock element. Perhaps I'm just overthinking it and we should just let the rules stay as is XD- rely on the honor system. Hopefully people won't abuse these loopholes (although me bringing them up is probably what would inspire them in the first place >_<)
