The Tier Tournament - Low vs. High



We've always discussed tiers in brawl, but it's time to put that to the test..with the battle between..high and low.

Welcome brawlers, to one of the tournaments scheduled by the Tournament Hub! If you have not checked that out, you may check here.

Keep in mind that new tournaments will be held every Tuesday and Friday, so keep an eye out, especially on those days. This tournament shall be a Zelda themed tournament.

16 player tournament, 4 reserve players.

NOTE: 8 players will decide to choose a low tier character, while the other 8 will choose a high tier character.

-A player who decides to play a low tier character will never play an another low tier character, unless there are more low tier players than high tiers(applies vice versa)

50 posts minimum required for entry.
VIPs are exempt from this post count rule.


Post only to report your matches (as well as to sign up). Solve disputes before posting, perhaps talking to the moderator in charge of that tournament.

Both players should post too, one to report and the other to confirm (not required, but appreciated nonetheless).

Anyone caught lying will result in an immediate DQ from the tournament, and possible later ones.

Only members in good standing, with their SSBB friend code entered correctly into their profile may participate.

After you have entered, you should add all of the other members participating in that tournament. Thus you will be ready to play anyone, anytime that you are asked (within reason).

The tournament will begin as soon as all 16 entrants have been verified.

You have 3 days to play your match in each round (each round should last no longer then 3 days).

I have made it this long due to the fact that people are busy, what with school/work/college.

The whole tournament should take no longer than 12 days to finish, from beginning to end.

If one contestant is absent for a long period of time (over 3 days), or is DQ, a reserve will take their place.

We reserve the right to disallow anyone, for any reason that we see fit.

Please pay special attention to the rules..failure to comply or follow these rules will result in an immediate disqualification.

Characters that may be used ONLY: Low/High Tier Characters(Depending on your decision)
Stock: 3
Best of 3
Items: Off
Available Stages: Neutrals/Counterpicks ONLY

Disqualifications:
- Not attempting to get your match finished within the allotted time, due to procrastinating/not responding to your opponent.

- Using unnecessary profanity, or having poor sportsmanship (Taunting/Bragging are fine by us, however keep it clean and make sure not to go overboard).

- Possessing multiple accounts.

- Arguing about anything with the Moderators.

- Cheating. (Still unknown as to what is possible)

I think Ike is located on the D tier, which could classify him as Low-middle tier. Since he's considered partially but not fully on the lower tier, I believe he can be allowed.

Yes. According to SmashWiki, Pikachu is 9th place(A tier)
