And that leaves less than 1/3rd of the actual character using projectiles. Squirtles projectile is only good for gimping. Charizard doesn't really have projectiles. Just the rocksmash which is more of a multi-hit attack with range, and flamethrower, which is pretty much the same thing.

After having a discussion with Isaac, it is decided that Falco will not be on the roster. This is due mainly to his reflector that may give him a considerable edge.
As for PT, I'm going to leave that up to debate. I don't think any of the three pokemon are really projectile reliant, except Ivysaur. Also, list now updated.

Zelda does have a reflector move, but it doesn't really compare much as to Falco's reflector. Also, it is more difficult to time correctly. I will leave her up there, unless everyone wishes for me to take her off the list.

hmmm...Well if you are talking projectiles, olimar is king. The little space lamp disputably has the best item to throw in the game, pikmin. Ex: white pikmin rape, purple pikmin surprise knock back, etc...plus, it's no doubt easy to "spam" those little guys
...Thus, if olimar is allowed, I enter, if not, I withdraw...*BRY* 2964-8296-1301 Last edited by olimar3; 10-25-2009 at 08:02 AM. Reason: ... |

Well, Squirtle has a gimp move, as well as his Side-B, which sort of turns him into a projectile in a way. Ivysaur, of course, has projectiles. Charizard has Rock Smash, which splits and turns into a projectile, as well as his B attack in the same fashion of Squirtle's B attack.

5 spots now remain.
Edit: Olimar is now on the character roster. PT is still very much debatable.

I've never played a squirtle that relies heavily, or even mildly on the water gun. Rocksmash and flamethrower are more multi-hit than projectile. Rocksmash doesn't go anywhere, it stays right in front of charizard, how is that a projectile? Flamethrower just goes a little further. Ivysaur is a loss since he is probably as projectile reliant as tink or samus, but unfortunately, it hurts the spirit to have the other two in it. Squirtle is definitely more hand to hand, and charizard is more range/multi-hit than projectile. If we let him in, we'd have to let lesser projectile users like king dedede, bowser(multi-hit really), mario, or yoshi in the game. @josh: i forgot to put olimar up as part of the roster? lol whoops.
