2nd Official Yu-Gi-Oh 2009 Tag Team Tournament

10th Official Yu-Gi-Oh Tournament

Ever wanted to tag team with a partner? Did you ever want to show the best tag team Yu-Gi-Oh deck ever? This is the tournament for you!

Note: This is one of the tournaments scheduled by the Tournament Hub. Keep an eye out for new tournaments every Tuesday and Friday!

Rules:

- Best 2 of 3
- Banned cards not allowed.
- Synchro Monsters ARE allowed
- Tag Team Mode ONLY
- You and your partner may not exchange decks.
- You and your partner's Deck must consist of at least 40 cards.
- You and your partner may have a Side-Deck* consisting of up to 15 cards.
- You and your partner may only have up to 3 of the same card in your Deck (including your Side-Deck).
- March 09' Ban List will be used

*The Side-Deck is not used during the game, but you may substitute cards between your Deck and Side-Deck in a 1-for-1 exchange in between duels.

* = indicates a change

Disqualifications:

-Suspected disconnection on purpose.
-Arguing with opponent/tournament host.
-Signing up with multiple accounts.
-Bragging


We will have only 4 teams for this tournament.

Note: When signing up, you must provide your FC and your partner's FC. You can not sign up while looking for a partner. Your partner must also confirm in this thread as well.

This site seems to be under the impression the latest ban list is best.
IRL this is true, but for the game, world championship banlist is the ideal banlist. Since the array of cards isn't the same as irl, therefore the irl banlist meant to co-exist with cards in the real meta, which do not exist in 09, being used in 09 isn't the best idea @_@

Though with no synchros, the lightsworn monsters will be utterly broken, they are already top tier, but the next type of deck that is actually tourney viable and can compete are remove from play decks, which are relatively mid-tier. I honestly think lightsworns should be banned/limited in regular play, but especially in this @_@

If the latest ban list isn't the one we shouldn't go with, we can definitely choose a different ban list that everyone prefers.

I say we go and use the March list. That way some of us dont have to go crazy and make new decks, that is if you havent done it already.

i like the march list but i dont like the rule of no synchros also edited first post with friend codes

The rule of no synchros really is kind of dumb now that i think about it, no offense to whoever thought it up.
Getting material for synchros between two teammates sounds like one of the actual positives to teamplay.

I saw we use world championship, since it's actually meant for yugioh 09.
I'd be fine with march though, it was close enough to the array of cards in 09 that it isn't much diff from world championship.

Synchro Monsters will be allowed, and the ban list shall be based off of March 09'. I thought it would be a good idea to disallow the use of Synchro Monsters, since it forces team players to think harder when it comes to playing off each other. I guess that isn't a good idea. Any other rule changes that need to be made?

True it would've made them have to think harder, but then the array of actually good decks they could use are pretty limited. IMHO.
