Ok, I've decided to open up a sort of clan. I don't intend to feature all the spiffy perks of pretty much every other clan, so don't expect to see theme songs, banners, clan wars, visuals and the like.

The Name:

Honestly, it's the first thing that came to my head in terms of thinking of how to incorporpate Steam into it. I'm not going to make up a name like Heaven's Shining Bow or some other deep, psuedo-philosophical name. If I think of something better, I'll rename it.

The Cause:

I've decided to create a group that plays Steam games like Team Fortress 2, Half-Life 2 Deathmatch, and other Steam-based games (maybe nonSteam games as well). Nothing really serious, just for the kicks and chuckles. Perhaps this is another way for people to earn my coin.

The People:

Anyone is allowed to join in on this. The only thing that I will not accept are people with illegal copies of the Steam games. However, that shouldn't be much of a problem if at all. You don't have to change your Steam nickname for this group because I personally don't want to.

The Communique

You can add my Steam ID (which is Ruone) and we can chat on there as well as in the chat here or in this thread. I'm online at least once everyday (more if I don't have to work) and more on the weekends. But in August, I'll be online a LOT more.

The ID:

Here could possibly be a list of Steam IDs in relation to the members that join, but for now, it'll be just me. It'll go in the following manner:

Forum name - Steam ID - Nickname on Steam

The Notes:

Feel free to say what games that you play the most or like the most. That way, we can form a general consensus of what we could all hop on and play. I personally play Half-Life 2 Deathmatch, some Counter-Strike: Source, and a little bit of Team Fortress 2.

The Rules:

Please note that I will enforce these myself and that violation can and will result from removal of the group. Further violations and ignorance to forum rules can and will result in temporary or even permanent ban from the site.

1. No Vulgar Language - We don't need to use those kinds of words when we have less offensive substitutes. This includes flaming, racism or any type of harassment.

2. No Flaming or Trolling - It's something I hope we don't need to worry about, but come on, let's be nice. Yeah, it ties in with Rule 1, but I think it needs to be said again.

3. Be A Good Sport - No need to keep rubbing a win in someone's face everytime you talk to them. It's all about the kicks and chuckles here.

4. I Am NOT Your Leader - I may have started this group/clan/what have you, I am only starting it for the sake of getting some people together and play some rounds of Steam games. I will never look down on any of you but I will be enforcing the rules.

5. Report Stuff - If you have something to report (like flame wars, offensive content, racism, or whatever) please let me know. I can try my best to help out arguements without fueling fires and letting things escalate.

6. Have Fun - That's the purpose of this group. It's NOT a group based on competition and who's better than who. To myself, we all have our strengths and weaknesses, our good days and our bad days.

Then why are you posting in a group thread for Steam which you don't have any games for?

I've been rather lacking in my Steam game gametime due to my crappy internet. It seems like I can hardly find any servers that I can get a good ping on. In about a month that will change and i'll be playing a lot more.
