I can't deny that I like cute (and cool) pokémon, but it's more of an aesthetical view (such as "tough" can be considered to come from a more practical, battling approach). There are cute pokémon that can be tough in battle.
Also there are pokémon that start being cute, but later evolve and become forces to be reckoned with.
