Definately the first version. Ruby has the worst starters. the silver/gold starters arent bad.

Definitely the first ones, nothing beats Bulbusaur, Squirtle and Charmanders evolved forms.

The Jhoto starters were definitely the best *sniff* Back then Typhlosion could learn thunderpunch... man he was kickass.
