I always choose the fire pokemon too. I personally find that they are stronger in attack, and the very first pokemon was charmader. A fire type pokemon that eventually evolves into a pokemon that looks like a dragon (even though it's not). so when I got diamond (then platinum) I chose chimchar.

Doesn't Really Matter I Trade Em As Soon As Possible For A Low Alrounder It Makes Playing The Same Adventure A Bit Different Ie Squirtle Lv 5 With Surf Etc,you Have To Do Something When Playing All Diamond,pearl,platinum,didn't Gold ,silver And Crystal Get Monotimous All Them Stinkin Caves,
