"Ease of Use" Tier list / Discussion

So you think the actual tier list dictates the ease of use for each character for the most part? Why is that?

Kirby was one of the easiest i thought, i learned him within a day, and all the n00b kids down at my youth center use him pretty well.

Edit: And luigi is pretty hard for me. Been trying to learn him for a while after nappy pretty much ordered me to so we could ditto. Any reasoning for that?

Higher tiered characters are easy to "do well" with because they are generally OP/broken/cheap/whatever you wanna call it...you can pretty much learn like 3 moves with most of them, do those over and over, and win. Not much "thinking outside the box" required.

Kirby is easy to use, yes, but has trouble doing damage in the mid-percent-zone. When opponent is at 0% -> use grab combos, when at 80% -> fsmash (which is busted but gets predictable). When your opponent is in the 30%-70% zone you have to kind of think when playing him, as he can't really camp or spam anything (maybe well-spaced bairs or a stolen power, which is situational).

Very easy learning curve. Learn to short hop any aerial -> nair, repeat as necessary, land fsmash. Use Fireball/Tornado as needed, and utilt juggles most characters for stupid amounts of damage.

truthfully, olimar is very hard to pick up. I've seen many a good brawler ditto me in humor only to find that there is much more to the space lamp than meets the eye...The first step to becoming a good oli is to take the phrase, "the more pikmin, the better" to heart...

does F mean the hardest to learn? I do not think sonic is that hard to learn it just that you have to think about every single move you make while being quick about it

Since this really is a "Easy of Use Thread" I can't really make an accurate list since it's supposed to be nub friendly but if I had to give a list taking AT's, (Advanced Techniques) play-styles, and physics into account It'd go something like this ._.

This isn't my personal attitude toward the characters or how I play them but it's truly how I see them used in competition and tournaments. One characters may have a few AT's while another has multiple. You guys can talk about my list if you want and make comments or suggestions on changes just give a logical reason in your explanation .-.

Well if you're a nub you're typically going to want to use smashes a good deal. Wolf's smashes have virtually no ending lag behind them making good use for new mainers to use him. The only thing that would be tough for them is ariels like fair but other than that Wolf is an easy character for a newbie.

I dunno. Wolf is harder to recover with, and the level of nubs it takes for wolf to be more favorable than falco and his CG sounds like a lot of suicides would ensue.

And ice climbers so low? Wut?
You must be considering the level pretty durned low. But At a certain level, your entire list does make perfect sense...
