Ike Guide

This is the ike guide.... ike is one of the most powerful charatacters in the game, however he is also one of the slowest.... he is not a cheap charatacter, he is very hard to master. The fact that his moves are very slow, means that all his moves must a place right on time to ensure a hit. however.... that doesn't mean there isn't some tricks around this... like i said, the key to ike is to get the one key hit to knockout. In free-for-alls he is a beast, one-on-one, not so much but is still fearsome. This guide will contain a couple of tricks to make yours badass to...

Land Moveset:

AAA: best use as a change of pace, useful

strong A: a slower, K.O. move, use ahead of time

Fsmash: your best K.O. move, can k.o. at like 50%, thats how strong it is, just really hard to land a hit...

UpA: combo starter, not as slow as the other moves

Upsmash: very useful, best used as and edge guard for those people who like to dodge roll out the way, don't over use, because its a good knockout move too

DownA: best used at the edge 2 send foes plummting

Dsmash: fastest smash attack, not the best knockout move though... best use every once in a while

Air Attacks:

Nair: ok range, but it covers good area around you so, its best used if you mix it in every once in a while

Fair: your second best air move, has very good range, just make sure to time just right, good for self-defence

Bair: your best air move and fastest move too, best use to change of speeds get them thinking too hard

Dair: can be use as a spike move, just hard to recover afterwards... best not used to try to spike every time

B moves:

B: good when coming down from the air, the more time passes, the stronger and farther your foes will take and sent flying, also unable 2 flinch during it...

upB: not the best recover move...but u can use as a combo finisher... for a short amount of time at the start of aether, u will not flinch..but damage will b taken if any..

downB: your best B move counter, now it is possible to counter everything but a throw, just its alot harder to time than marth's since there is a short sec before counter is working... if this is timed wrong... chances are you might die...

sideB: this should be used as a recovery move, but mix in every now and then for best use, the longer you hold, the farther you go, but at a certain point, you wont b able to go farther, you'll hear a sound, if you miss as in the foe is farther, quickly follow up with AAA combo for a hit

Tips

Edge guarding- Ike is one of the better characters at defending the edge, not the best gimper but a dam good edge guarder. the better moves used to E.G. is either the standard special, up smash, forward smash(duh), or just about any air move. Ok, the best time to use the standard special move is when your right on the edge, wait to see if they are trying to aim for the edge, then its the better move, now if they are on the stage use up smash so just in case they try to dodge roll out they'll get hit. Now for the forward smash its the same as the standard special move, just do the same thing. For air moves, just keep jumping randomly until the choose to do something, then just pick one xD
