Excited

Friend Codes Show Friend Codes
Recently created a new team for baton passing. Not really a full baton pass team, but I wasn't aiming for that. Just a few baton passers and a couple other sweepers and a support/wall. Balanced team leaning slightly toward Baton Passers.

AERODACTYL
Nature: Jolly
Item: Focus Sash
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 4 HP/252 ATK/252 SPE
Moveset: Stealth Rock/Rock Slide/Earthquake/Taunt

Aerodactyl's main purpose is to get in there and outspeed the other leads and also taunt the taunters to eliminate trouble for baton passing/stat boosting which is vital in this team. Rock Slide and Earthquake are to damage/take out whatever stands in the way.

UXIE
Nature: Impish
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP/180 DEF/72 SPD
Moveset: Reflect/Light Screen/Memento/Thunderbolt

Uxie's purpose is to come in after Aerodactyl and set up dual screens and then use memento for safe passage to bring Ninjask in and get in a swords dance right after because of the memento stat losses benefiting chance of survival for Ninjask. Thunderbolt is for leads that Aerodactyl couldn't finish off at the beginning.

NINJASK
Nature: Jolly
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 252 HP/252 SPE/4 DEF
Moveset: Baton Pass/X-Scissor/Substitute/Swords Dance

Ninjask's specialty is to come in after Uxie gets out of there after Memento so he can swords dance right away. After that he subs up and gets speed boosts. Then he can baton pass to Mr. Mime if there's safe passage, otherwise to Rhyperior.

MR. MIME
Nature: Calm
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Soundproof
EVs: 252 HP/40 SPD/216 SPE
Moveset: Calm Mind/Baton Pass/Barrier/Thunderbolt

Mr. Mime is a vital part of the team. Mr. Mime's goal is to get in on a special attacker and get some defense boosts in with Barrier and then Calm Mind. Also gets rid of Skarmory to prevent phazing by Skarmory. Swampert can pose more of a threat but Skarmory, as far as I've seen, is more common. After being able to get in barrier(for sure) and then a couple calm minds or so and baton pass to Rhyperior or Togekiss, depending on what the situation is. Rhyperior is a great candidate if a physical attacker is out, and with barriers Togekiss is great even from a physical attacker as well, sporting 95 base defense and trained in it. Togekiss is to be passed to on account of a special attacker, unless multiple calm minds have been performed to provide safe entry for Rhyperior to come in.

RHYPERIOR
Nature: Adamant
Item: Life Orb
Ability: Solid Rock
EVs: 72 HP/252 ATK/180 SPE
Moveset: Earthquake/Stone Edge/Aqua Tail/Swords Dance

Rhyperior is a great physical sweeper after receiving the boosts it requires. Receiving 1 Swords Dance from Ninjask, speed boosts, barriers from Mr. Mime, and also calm minds, Rhyperior is a force to be reckoned with. His defensive bulk is great, and also the speed(from boosts) and attack(boosted by 2 stages) is great. Being able to take physical hits well and being switched in a physical attacker, Rhyperior is also a great candidate for swords dance on the switch, putting his already sky high attack at an even higher bar with 4 boosts. Even being able to take Special hits if calm minds were introduced and his bulky HP, he can easily start up a sweep.

TOGEKISS
Nature: Calm
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP/152 SPA/104 SPD
Moveset: Thunder Wave/Air Slash/Nasty Plot/Roost

Togekiss is perfect for setting up Nasty Plot after being baton passed defensive boosts, calm minds, and speed boosts. Togekiss is second to being baton passed unless a special attacker is out when Mr. Mime baton passes, unless having sufficient calm minds for Rhyperior to do good against a Special Attacker. Togekiss boasts a decent Defense Stat and a very good Special Defense stat with Special Attack even higher than that. Roost is a good move for this set to ultimately extend Togekiss's life to the max, easily sweeping opponents. Speed Boosts give Togekiss a very high speed stat and eliminates the need for speed EVs, giving room for Special Defense EVs. Special Defense is chosen over Defense to invest in here because barriers will be passed to Togekiss, making its defense stat very high while Calm Mind doesn't boost Special Defense quite as high. After getting in a few Nasty Plots Togekiss can easily sweep the opponent while healing with Roost along the way and taking virtually anything thrown at it.

a baton pass team is meant to have all pokemon with the move baton pass, because the moves effect is to carry over any stat changes you may have such as swords dance, calm mind, or acid armor

Read the beginning 'not really a full baton passing team'

On paper (or the computer screen) this team does look extreemly good.
I think this teams main problem is it has 2 suicide pokeys (Aero and Uxie which leaves u at 4 pokeys but hopefully with SR and both screens up. The only problem for the rest of the team is if the opponent gets StealthRock up and has a Pokey that can Roar or Whilwind, because that then technically leaves u with just Rhyperior to sweep with.
But if you can avoid that and get Rhyperior out and they lack priority moves it could become very Rosey.

But as always a baton Pass team is risky with the current Metagame

Also once Rhyperior is gone there is no way for you too get around Blisseys eternal fatness

Take it from LL for what he has said. I have a baton passing team that he devastated kind of proving that it's very risky with the current metagame. Hopefully LL remembers our recent battle where I used pure baton passers.

a baton pass team doesn't require everyone to have baton pass anyway.

why waste memento on ninjask though.
why not just lead with him?

rhyperior is way too slow. you'll need at least +3 or +4 for him to really outspeed anything.

give togekiss baton pass and switch out rhyperior for a physical sweeper that can baton pass.

and give ninjask a pinch berry.

As for ninjask...
Protect
X-scissors
Baton Pass
Swords Dance
ITEM: Focus Sash

If you're going to lead with Ninjask. When I lead its:

1. Protect
2. Swords
3. Protect
4. and so on is up to whatever happens in the game.
