ever buy a new controller that has something wrong with it?

is it just my bad luck or does the most recent model of the GC controller always come with a defect?

almost all of the ones ive bought recently came with bad control sticks
the one im using now came with a piece of gunk under the B button (i opened it and cleaned it)
but still WTF?

yeah happened to me, bought a GC controller and when I opened the box I found it was missing the A button, B button, Z button and the C-Stick.
easy to say it was quickly returned

wow, well at least thats blatent so they will replace them
but i mean like a control stick that has trouble with registering a particular direction all the way... like you can barely run/smash in that direction but you can do tilts

I'm kind of iffy on buying one of the new white GC controllers. I've seen nothing but bad reviews, but all of my friends that got them say they are awesome.

i meant without breaking them open... unless you have a screw driver that works on nintendo's 3 prong screw
(i use a small flathead to try to slowly turn it)

All my gamecube controllers have trouble registering button commands and analog stick directions, I don't think its because of a fault, its probably because they're so damn old (5/6 years)

My drums for Guitar Hero don't work too well.. I ended up opening them and fixing em myself. But they still don't work right in some ways.

so much for the faith people put into the lifespan + quality of nintendo products.... people occasionally refered to them as indestructable
