Hey i don't know if this has been done before but I've never seen a thread like this so I'm giving it a shot. What music do you enjoy listening to when gaming if any and why??

my example: I generally listen to different music depending on what game I'm playing. If i'm playing an intense first person shooter I listen to rock/metal such as System of a Down or Incubus (I have a playlist on my Ipod full of random music for such instances called Fight music). If im playing different games that are a little less action packed such as pokemon I may listen to more upbeat music. Some games I don't listen to music while playing such as Zelda games or Final Fantasy.

i like listening to something Up-tempo when I'm gaming...
i usually put my iPod on Green Day, Goo Goo Dolls, or something with good guitar/drums...

I don't listen to music when I'm playing games, because the game itself generally has music.

Some games I'd agree with you require no additional music but others with boring music,bad music, or no music at all really are more enjoyable with your own soundtrack added.

Honestly when I'm gaming I love to listen to some Metal, Rock, and most other hardcore stuff...
(Metallica , AC/DC, Drowning Pool, Breaking Benjamin , Tool, etc)

I don't listen to music while gaming. But on YouTube in my online Brawl friend match videos, I've added metal to the videos' audio. But that was before WMG, and I stopped adding music to my YouTube videos cause they always get muted, and it's really annoying.

But the majority of my Brawl videos had stuff like DragonForce, which perfectly matched the video. And one of them had a song from Cannibal Corpse. But metal just goes so well with Brawl videos.

some alternative rock, up-beat techno, j-rock, pop, and metal.

I usually turn it up pretty loud when I'm playing someone in brawl. Especially when it's intense. Sometimes I may even just listen to the music of the map that I'm brawling someone in since brawl has some good music

I like putting on other game music. I love playing Battlefield 2142 rocking out to Mario or Sonic.

I don't often listen to anything while playing Brawl because the sound cues are pretty much essential to playing, and I suck when I can't hear them. e_e
When I do, though, it's something like BlazBlue music, JAM Project, or something along those lines.

The only game i need music for is brawl, and what i listen to depends on how i'm playing/feeling.

If I'm happy, doing well, or just messing around: LADY GAGA!
If I'm really having an intense match/ trying really hard to win: something harder like Company of Thieves
And if I'm just depressed and don't even actually feel like playing: Fiona Apple, Tori Amos, Alannis Morissette, or Charlotte Sometimes.

Actually there is a thread like this. You just have to look for it. I like to listen to Rock, or Techno. But if the games music is cool, I listen to that.
