Goriest game you ever played.

mine would be manhunt and mortal kombat, can't think of anything worst

I was trying to think of an answer before I opened this thread, and all I could come up with is MORTAL KOMBAT.

My favorite gorey scene in a videogame is when Leon gets his head severed by Dr. Salvador.

that scene is awesome, but that meant game over . i had that pic as an avatar for a site and they made me change because it was to gory anyways nice find.

Personally, the goriest game I've ever played is Soldier of Fortune for PC. People may see that game NOW and laugh at its graphics, considering they're blocky compared to today's standards, but back then when it first came out, it was the most mind blowing thing ever. You could grab a shotgun and shoot a soldier with it. Whereever you shot them, it would have the same effect a real shotgun would on a real person. I mean if you shoot someone on their side, it would blow their side off completey. Blood and guts go flying everywhere and you can see that a huge chunk of that person's side is missing. Blowing someone's head off was just plain sickening. I MAY sound stupid, but pick up any other first person shooter and play it. Pick up a shotgun. I bet you 9 times out of 10, blowing someone's side off won't have the same effect.

Another game that comes to mind is a fighting game Eternal Champions for Sega CD. Its like an average Street Fighter wannabe. It seemed much more innocent than Mortal Kombat...until the match ended. There were many gruesome ways to finish off your opponents within the stages. Examples are throwing someone into a ceiling fan with sharp blades, or throwing some off the pirate ship feeding them to a hungry shark. But my favorite one was the train. When the fight ends, the winner hops off the speeding train in time. The loser stands there dazed in confusion...A minute later the train crashes into a giant sharp rock shaped like a spike. The opponent would go all the way through. The spike was completely covered in blood and intestines.

Another gory game I have played is Loaded for the PS1. Once again people see this game TODAY and they call it crap, but back then when it first came out, it was very disturbing. You run around in a mental institute murdering huge waves of patients and doctors. When your job's finished, you'll realize that the floor you're standing on, which was once white, is now covered red in blood and gore.

Pff.... Who here has played Serious Sam?????? Beheaded kamikazes runnig at you holding grenades in each hand, then exploding in gore. Good times. then my mom found out and deleted it... I was 8, LOL!

Also, Mortal kombat 4. Fan level = win.

Would No More Heroes count? Behind the anime styling is a pretty graphic game, especially some of the death scenes and just the general way you go about mutilating folks.

Most agreed. There's nothing like the corpse/body left there after you have killed it. And not to mention when you go to the level "Nightmare". Damn, that was hard.

I would probably have to say the Suffering and the sequel Ties That Bind. It has several creepy monsters and scenes that just mess with you.
