Like the title asks Have you ever bought a system just for one game in particular... I ask this because the reason that I have a wii is because of SSBB ... I bought a wii to play that game, and it is one of the two games that I actually own on my wii ... the other is RE4 Wii Edition ... Which I actually Like better .__. ... what about you guys have you ever done this?

Well, I bought a new DS mainly to play New Super Mario Bros. but that suddenly changed.

Though, the one I went out of it for the most was Kingdom Hearts II. I traded in some older systems I had just to get a PS2 and that game on its release date.

When Wind Waker came out, I bought myself a GameCube just so I could play it.

Pumped gas to go reserve the game, about 20 bucks.
Reserved the game by paying full price, about 50 bucks and got the extra OoT disc that came with it.
Took my family out to eat lunch since we all went just for that reason, about a 30 dollar ticket.
Bought a gamecube, about 250 dollars.
Game came out, gotta pick it up, 20 bucks for gas again.

In all, I spent around 370 dollars on that game. That was really the only game I wanted on there at the time.

Yeah, a few times. 360 for RE5, DS for Phantom Hourglass, and I think GC for Metroid Prime. Way too much money gone, but at least I enjoy them.

I bought the Wii for Brawl.

Actually...I wanted to get it when it came out originally, anyways. But Brawl gave me a better excuse.

I sort of bought a Nintendo Wii for Super Mario Galaxy, but I didn't even like it, but otherwise not that I really know of or remember.

I bought a launch Wii for Twilight Princess but I wanted it anyway because I hadn't owned a new home console since the SNES.
