i would say mine started years back with jill of RE3...yeah i was young then,i would use the word"crush"but "what games do u like best/the hottest"u woulda got fousands(yeah,misspelt intensionally) on replys by now,but the game babes i really like er gezz alot:ada wong,Ivy! currently samus (see↓)funny no ones mentioned lara croft....

Just look at my sig and avy combo... Fire Emblem has ruined my sanity.... ROFL I've had a few before... but this one's rudiculous... Month's longer than even the "furry" stage I was in... O_o Meh.... It's the personality really that got me... However, that doesn't change the fact that Ninian's fictional....

I think a better way of looking at the situation is very similar to when you read a good book. Sometimes you can find yourself very attached to the personalities that a certain character portrays. That's just as bad as video games, or perhaps worse, because at least with games, there is a physical representation to the personality.
I never found myself having a 'crush' on a video game character, though I have without a doubt fallen for certain personality portrayals. Example: Aeris, Final Fantasy VII. Now-a-days, with graphics getting better, and more realistic, I could understand an infatuation with the appearance of a character, but for me, the driving point of connection with characters has always been the personality the writers portray.
