Well, using basic economics figure this. Gamers are complaining about the lack of hardcore from Nintendo, although I do not see a major lack, if any at all. I just see a larger flow of casual software. If you're a die-hard fan or a major gamer, do this. Go purchase casual titles like Wii Music and Wii Fit. This will provide Nintendo more money and with more money from casual software they will have more money to spend on hardcore and casual software. Any Nintendo title that is good, look into purchasing it. This is most likely every hardcore title but a majority of casual titles that you will like for a while. With more money you'll see the stuff you want in the future. Along with the help of critisim NOT complaining.
But there's more! You know that lack o 3rd Party support? Well let's fix that complaint. Go out and buy GTA:CTWs, Madworld, or house of the dead. Therefore the hardcore games that deserve money, get it for sequels that'll you'll enjoy. Purchase fun casual games like CookingMama or Personal Trainer, not the crappy, half-ass ones. With this said, the quality of Wii games will increase and companies will have more money to make better games meaning more support for Nintendo. So you want better games from 3rd parties and more hardcore! Go buy the stuff that deserve's to be purchase. Not Carnival games go but Madworld or CookingMama! Adult gaming is low on Nintendo. Let's fix that! Rent games, buy games, just do what should be done. |

i get your point...your saying that if you we buy more casual games, we would be providing NINTENDO with a significant cash flow, in regards to profit, and that profit would result in allowing NINTENDO to use that cash towards more development towards hardcore games that use NINTENDO fans want.
Its a good idea but the thing is that if we buy casual games...we will get board more easily...I bought Wii Music and i hardly even play it anymore due to shear boredom i developed after playing it for a week.... Yes, buying casual games, games that dont really sell that much unless its the Wii fit, will create more cash flow, allowing NINTENDO to develop more hardcore games but in my opinion buying casual games for me is boring~!

Nintendo is making a killing with their casual game. If anything, I'd say that they already are allocating tons of money to a new Mario, Zelda, etc. and they can take their time for it now. This means much bigger games than their predecessors.
I do agree however that we need to support 3rd parties a lot more. Which means stopping pirates! That was GTA:Chinatown Wars downfall was that a small number bought the game, but some sites reported over 300,000 illegal downloads. |

I for one, am doing my part to buy the quality 3rd party games that I can. (bloom blox, cooking mama, CoD, The Conduit... ) As for where the money is going. I can't say that if we all spend more money, that Nintendo will start cranking out Hardcore games like hotcakes... I just don't think that will happen.. IMO.

well with Nintendo Wii's way of gameplay--the whole having to get off your butt to play most of them(or atleast more physical motions)--I think the more "casual" games simply sell more cause, well most gamers(me included) are too lazy, and can use the "workout".
But Nintendo cant rely on that always working for them.
