n-Space President Dies

IGN is saddened to report that Erick S. Dyke has died after a courageous battle with cancer. The co-founder and president of Florida-based development studio n-Space was 41 years-old.

As president of n-Space, Dyke and company partner Dan O'Leary oversaw the development of such software as Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: World at War for DS, Star Wars: Force Unleashed for DS and Geist for GameCube, among other hits. The studio remained part of an exclusive list of software houses chosen as a second-party contributor by Nintendo.

Dyke is survived by his wife Michelle and his parents Michael and Greta Dyke.

We had the pleasure of working with Dyke on multiple occasions, knew him on a personal level, and will miss his him dearly. He was a person who loved the videogame business and understood how to help make good software. Nintendo fans in particular should be grateful for many behind-the-scenes initiatives that Dyke helped champion. He was also a hell of a nice guy whose life ended far too quickly. Our sincerest condolences go out to those fortunate enough to know him well.
