Well, whoever watched it what did you think?
Aside from a rather lengthy talk about how they are working with James Cameron for the Avatar movie (no not the TV series, totally original), opening the show with Red Steel 2 was a great idea, especially since the game looks so dang amazing. Anyways, here is a quick run down of what they did. - Avatar: Ubisoft working with director J.Cameron to create a great multi-medium project. The game is actually in development with the movie so they're saying it's going to rock. - Red Steel 2: Opening cutscene, motion plus demo able to translate how you are holding the wii remote perfectly in game and it's able to detect how hard you can swing. Demonstrates sword to gun transition (it's awesome). Introduces us to Jackles and a Heavy, two of the game's enemies. Beautiful graphics. - Soccer Academy: guest stars world renown soccer player Pele. Very cartoon look and the premise seems like a combination of Harry Potter and Yu-Gi-oh GX (but actually looks kinda cool). - Shaun White Snowboarding World Stage: just a trailer. -Splinter Cell: Conviction: Same as the MS conference, still equally as awesome. This time, Sam Fisher is not restrained by any rules and can do whatever it takes to complete the mission. Each level built like a small sandbox so there are multiple ways to attack the same problem, and features a new "mark and exit(or execute, they had thick accents)" mode where you can put a marker on the last known position of an enemy or object and take them out with fast precision. Cutscenes are presented in movies that run on walls and in the sky to have the action never stop. This keeps the flow of the game fast while not skipping out on story. Looks amazing. - CASUAL GAMES! Lots and lots of casual games including the imagine series and fitness games. Imagine 2.0 is set to allow young girls in their tweens to do all kinds of stuff like take a picture of themselves via DSi camera and have an ingame representation made in the game that they can dress up and then even order the jewelry in stuff they used to be sent to their house. If I was 12 year old girl, probably would be excited. - Raving Rabbids: Rabbids Go Home: Gameplay demo showing off how the rabbids and the shopping cart work together. Also showed a demo of them riding through an airport on a plane engine. - Ninja Turtles: Smash Up : Brought to us by the Smash Bros. Team. Showed a short video. - No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle: Um...they showed the logo.....;__; - Assassin's Creed 2: Showed the world premiere of the CGI trailer. |

Urgh...I disagree...I dunno, even their big bombshells didn't seem all too interesting. Left 4 Dead 2 is cool, Natal looks silly, Modern Warfare should have shown something more action. Splinter Cell looked really cool though. Oh, and what's an MS E3 without even MOAR Halo? I was excited that Kojima announced MGS though, that was pretty cool. |
