And why?

Don't just say "Itz da Wii lulz", but give an honest opinion about what was the best console (in terms of hardware, controls AND games) and give specific reasons for it.

I will post my views after this gets a few hits.

N64 did a lot of ground breaking stuff. I love my Wii to death and it occupies a ton of my free time, but 3-D it had some top notch ideas like rumble.

Which remains a standard of gaming to this day. Sony tried to go without it, and drew a lot of criticism for it.

I like Wii the best, but when it comes to revolutionary retro consoles, I'd say N64 is the best. Sorry for not writing a nice long essay... i'm not a wordy person lulz.

I have no favourite; what you ask is an impossibility!
If I was threatened with my life to choose one, however, mine would be Nintendo 64, the entrencher of 3-D.

...If I had to favour one over another.

The N64 is my all time fave, it had lots of good games that I enjoy (and still do) Like LoZ: Ocarina of Time, Super Mario 64, Pokemon Stadium and Banjo Kazooie.

It was also just lots of fun to have 3 friends around to play a game together.

First Nintendo console I owned was a N64, so I would say that.

N64 was nostalgic. Games like Super Mario 64, Smash Bros., Mario Kart 64, and Paper Mario, were all great.

There's also Game Cube, which had a lot of decent games. It's my only system in which I bought the most games for, which was thirty-two.

But the Wii is the best so far. Only thing I hate about it is how Nintendo isn't making that much franchises for it anymore, and mostly doing Wii exclusives, family stuff, knock-offs o other games, etc. It's only really good for Brawl anymore.

The N64 changed nintendo forever cause the console was the first to offer 3D. and the 64 and 128 bit technology made the graphics awesome. Plus i grew up with it so thats why its my favorite.

GBA was and is the best system still. Pokemon Crystal and Super mario world were the two hot games I played on it. It was the system that I think revolutionized anything that is practically handheld for video games. I say this, cause at that time, Sony didnt have a handheld for video games(I think, not sure) and Microsoft wasnt even heard of as a producer of video games.
