Aside from all the slander on TV, half the nation being against what he's trying to do, etc, etc, etc...It's Amazing that our president won this award. Someone must be taking notice that he's truly trying his hardest to make a difference for this nation.

maybe they did give it to him for support but that still leaves into question of what & why. Normally peace prize winners HAVE done something to deserve it.. not that they were EXPECTED to do something.

I personally believe that obama should have probably gotten this award...but just not at the moment. Its kind of early and strange, I'll admit that. BUT, for all you people that say "Obama hasn't done anything..." Its not like he is sitting there in the white house doing nothing all day...he does have a duty to fufill as a president. Obviously you do not understand the true nature of politics.

I don't think he deserves it right now, he doesn't seem to have "changed" anything yet. The award should've been given to George Bush for contributing to the English language. ;D

I have not followed Barack Obama at all. Excuse me for being politically retarded but, isn't he trying to turn this country into a socialist economy? So doesn't that mean he can elect himself over and over and over again?

Are we turning into a socialist country or do we just have socialist influences in a democratic country.
