Karate will show almost no VISUAL physical difference in a person. However it will condition their body to be very strong. Your endurance, strength, and energy and flexibility will skyrocket.
I took karate for 5 years and i physically looked the same from when I started. However I was alot stronger than I looked. I was able to outmuscle the biggest guy on our football team and he was 2 times as ripped and as big as I was. If you're looking to look stronger /beef up/drop fat/ that is a different story.
But I strongly believe that pure strength training will always get you stronger than muscle size/strength training.
People who are mentally and physically strong and who are experienced at weilding that strength are the strongest.
