First day was doubles, and as my luck would have it I didn't have a partner so I spent much of the time just spectating (with a few friendlies near the end). But among the matches I spectated, what stood out was Atomsk's DDD, SK92's Falco (3 stocked like four people in a crew battle), and Reflex's Pokemon Trainer (mostly because I had never seen a Pokemon Trainer played anywhere close to that level). That's not to say I didn't see a bunch of other great players there in matches, those were just personal highlights for me.

Just as an aside, so far I haven't seen nearly as many MKs and Snakes as I was expecting. I thought like half of all the players would be using either one or the other but so far that doesn't seem to be the case from the matches I watched. Who knows, maybe tomorrow is when I'll notice any sort of population imbalance.

But yeah tomorrow is singles. My goal is to at the least break out of pools and into the brackets, and maybe do some damage once I get there. For now though I'm just gonna try to get some sleep since I'm somehow exhausted. Hopefully I'll have some good news tomorrow and maybe I'll get a chance to get some friendlies or something with the people that far outrank me in skill. Maybe I'll learn a thing or too.

man I heard that SK92 pwned Europe's crew and lost only 1 stock.

The score was 16 to 1 I believe. That's just really sad :\

And apparently there's about 15 Toon Link mains at Genesis, and 60 MKs, (AiB chart, rough estimate) so I'm guessing there WAS a good diversity of characters. =P

I think it was Australia's crew (with one Mexican). Either that or he was in two crew battles yesterday and I missed one of them (also a likely possibility).

The end score was something like 25 stocks left on SK92's team. SK92 finally got taken out near the end and the Hylian just swept up what was left.
