I keep walking past him while he's playing friendlies and stuff, maybe if there's time tomorrow I'll get a match with him or something.

Anyway, I got eliminated in the pools round. Only three could advance, and as luck would have it in my pool there were three ranked players who were really good (Atomsk, Hugs and TC1). So obviously they placed above me. I did do pretty well against everybody else in the pool though so it's not like I flopped completely. I just have a lot more room for improvement.

Also I watched the Melee crew battle between West Coast and East Coast. East Coast won with two stocks remaining, and it was very entertaining watch. Even if most of the time I vaguely understood any of the complexities behind the action on screen.

ive gone to one and im pretty good a brawl but people that go to thos wii rip you into shred because they know combos that can kill you in like 6 hits

And I'm back home. So I couldn't stay until the end of the Brawl brackets (though a part of me wonders whether they even finished yet because I heard they put off on the singles tournament over some debate on planking). I did however see both Melee Singles and Doubles to their conclusions and they were very intense and entertaining. I personally liked the Winner Final Set for each one best, but the Grand Finals were still really really good. Again, even though I don't play Melee there was so much energy in the match that it wasn't too hard to tell that it was just awesome. Also, watching an epic fight with a crowd live is really cool just because you really get the full force of the reactions of what's on screen (and you get to participate in the chants and standing cheers and such).

But uhh yeah. I guess the main point I'm going for here is that when the Mango vs Armada matches go online you should totally watch them. I can only hope they had some way of recording the crowd for the full effect but it'll still rock without it.

All in all, a very fun experience, even if I didn't have much time to play Brawl friendlies... I don't think I had more than five friendlies today. Maybe I should try to be more active in going to tournaments and stuff.

I just heard ally won singles and that he 3-1'd and then 3-0'd m2k in grand finals, so I'm guessing he came from losers but I'm not sure who knocked him there in the first place
