I've actually been planning to for a few months now ever since I found out that it was going to be a couple hours away from where I live. For those who don't know it's a really, really big smash brothers tournament for both Melee and Brawl, and last time I checked there were going to be like 700 people going or some absurdly high number.

So yeah I'm going to be playing Brawl there. I was more wondering if anybody else was going or knew somebody that was going that I should definitely try to get some friendlies in with. Now would also be a good time to place your bets on how quickly I'll get eliminated. You know, fun stuff like that.

Needless to say from now until Monday I won't be available to play at all online. If there's wi-fi at the hotel I'll try to keep this thread updated with any cool stuff that happens. Anybody else that's going is more than welcome to do the same as well.

I guess to a broader extent we can always just turn this into a general Genesis discussion thread for those who actively follow how pros do at tournies with predictions of the overall results and such.

So yeah. Discuss.

What's Genesis...? And good luck dude. I don't do real life tournaments, though. Not cause I would fail right away, just cause I don't want to.

It sounds like an intense tournament. Good luck, I hope they have live footage.

I dont think they'll be streaming because the venue (as I heard) has no internet. They could use an internet card but it'd have to be quite strong to efficiently stream.

Btw, I expect pikachu to be in the top 10

I was planning to go fly there, but then I didn't turn up enough money in time.
WAR/Firefly/Jankanpo and some of our Melee players are going there too, but I'm not sure if all of them are at the Ramada yet.

I REALLY hope that someone records those matches, and btw I heard m2k might not be able to get there, he didn't have a ride to the airport or something last time I checked
