Hmh port forwarding did help a lot. But I still can't connect in a with anyone match. This is Nintendo's server problems and I did everything to optimize my internet (port forwarding, direct wireless connection (wii is next to router), static ips...) and while the with friends mode has been significally faster and less lag (if any) I still can't get on the with anyone mode, even before busy hours. This is really pissing me off, Nintendo Better Fix This! Otherwise, other people in my country can't connect with a 558kpbs connection, and I'm not upgrading to 1mb because thats too expensive.

EDIT: Thinking back, I probably should have multi'd. @Kyosuke: Well, I've never heard of the USB Wi-Fi connector, but I'm assuming its something that increases the range of Wi-fi. Try it out, if its faster, cool. If its not noticeable, or slower, give us a head up.
@Cakewalk http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_Datagram_Protocol http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transmi...Reason_for_TCP Not familiar with the exact differences between the two, but my basic knowledge, UDP is less reliable, more random, and not used as much, but it is used for online games, which is why its necessary to keep them all open. They are generally the things that speed up your matchmaking process. @Arkofsax Thats essentially what I did. I just cleared 1-10000. No idea how beneficial this is, but its running smoothly so I assume I didn't screw up too bad. @Superdawg Completely different process. Its very vague, but I believe the gist of it was that they first set the wii to a static IP, then used the router to give that IP full access. Not recommended due to the fact that no one has exactly proven that you can't make an attack on the Wii yet.

Here's what they said: "Important: The Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector has been discontinued until further notice. As an alternative for on-line access, Wii and DS owners can use a standard wireless router, or for Wii owners, you can use the Wii LAN Adapter. Please click here to access the alternative on-line set-up options information on our web-site." So I recommend just using a LAN Adapter or your router or DSL wireless modem. Why? You'll get a lot more support for your connections, more settings, more feedback and you can make it even faster. I've also heard that the USB Connector can't be tweaked to port forwarding settings and all, resulting in a slower connection and (since it's been discontinued), poorer customer support from Nintendo. For people who have a weaker router or who cannnot phyciaslly get their wii close to it and therefore have weak signal strength i recomend the wii lan connecter. I got one and i no longer get droped when i am online and there is alot less lag for people that are having router problems it is a simple solution
