Welcome to the Town Tune Collection thread!

What is a town tune?

It's the bells ring, instruments music, door chimes and animals theme when you talk to them. It can be changed at the Town Hall when ever you please. Be aware that sometimes, the animals may not like your town tune and may ask you to change it.

Purpose of the Thread

In this thread, you'll be able to post and find town tunes made by all of us or found from the web. This thread will also clear up any future clutter of town tune searching or making threads. It won't stop you from making a thread like: "What's your town tune?" or "Is your town tune custom or pre-made?" But I'd like to keep these at a minimum.

How do I write a town tune on my PC?

If you're writing a town tune that you've made, it will be easier if you write the notes in the following form:

High Notes: G,A,B,C,D,E,?
Low Notes: g,a,b,c,d,e,f,?
Synch: z,-

Remember that "?" means "Random", if you use that note (frog with his mouth wide-open), it will randomly pick any of the notes. But remember, the note it plays will always be chosen at random when you listen to it. From dark blue to pink, are the low notes. While from orange to bright yellow are the high notes.

*Note: Z, ? and - aren't counted in the color variation.

Remember to time the "Synch" notes carefully, "Z" is mostly used for ending a town tune or for stopping a notes sound. While "-" is used for continuing the note, they're mainly used for harmonizing with the rest or for making slow tunes. We don't have to use these all of the time, but most tunes have to use at least 1 or 2 of both.

To post a town tune, please use the following form:

Name: (insert town tune name here)
Tune: (insert letters here)
Origin: (if it's original, found on the web, from a game or requested in another thread)

*Tip: Use the following tags in "Origin":
- Original
- Web
- Game
- Requested

Note: Any posts considered spam, will be removed from the thread. Do not post unless you're willing to submit a town tune.

I was playing Ocarina Of Time and I tried to work out what the tune would be on Animal Crossing and this is the tune that's most like it. :]

Melody Maker - This is a Town Tune maker, straight from Nintendo. You can use your arrow keys to manipulate the notes and play the tune at any time.

Oh Yes!!! I did it! I got the 5 notes from close encounters of the third kind as close as you can without sharps and flats! I rock at playing by ear rofl. As it's not quite teh same, bt as close as, I'm entitleing it "the 5 notes"
