Your WiFi signal all depends on the type of router you use, and the distance between your router and your Wii. For the max connection strength I would suggest moving closer to it, other wise no there are no tools that strengthen a connection to my knowledge.

I've had villagers ask me to help them find their house key many times, but lately I've had a couple tell me they've lost their "tumbler".

Is this something I can help them find? What are they talking about? Anyone know where to find this?

They're actually nephews so says Nook of Wild World.

There's that little story, but you could just make it as a counterbalance between the amount of items at the store.

Can you change your characters name after you enter it in for the first time? If so, where?

As of now, the only method I know is to use the Animal Crossing Toolkit. You can read a guide by our awesometastic Duchess HERE. It is pretty much self explanatory once you rip the save and load it in the toolkit.
